.... and second up - Umbrigado, my bet of the day, backed at 15-2 this morning, now down to 9-2 ... I'm hoping money talks!

Not often you see a horse tank through the race and win hard held in a big handicap like that - whoosh <yikes>

That Not So Sleepy ran a very fast time in the heavy ground (albeit only carrying 10.5) to win very easily. In similar ground will be difficult to beat unless he goes up a stone

I wouldn’t be rushing to take 66/1 on him. You never know how much the ground has influenced the outcome and he has probably run to about 150. Let’s see if he goes to the Betfair Hurdle off his new mark.

I was lucky enough to back not so sleepy,I watched the race and at one stage the horse looked as thou it was trying to run out,The horse had about a 8/10 length lead then seemed to start playing up a bit.The rest of the field Caught up and then the horse started racing again, although he seemed to be still throwing his head to the left. The jockey did a great job levelling the horse up again and the horse just ran away from then .It was a very good but strange performance. Not really sure what to make of it to be honest.

You know what I might have a small interest myself, the horse could be very good indeed.and a tenner would not go amiss if we are wrong.

18 lb for a 9 length defeat is meant to bring them level, but the manner of NSS's win would suggest that 18lb wouldn't be enough. And the likely better ground at Chelts will probably inconvenience ML more. I try not to do AP much, but that price looks tempting :)

New handicap mark of 144. So would need to improve best part of two stone. To put in context Master Debonair new mark is 151!

I understand what you’re saying ratings wise but that was some performance. I’ve never seen a horse run 2 miles with the choke out and finish like that. I thought the jumping was ok with room for improvement but the best bit of form in the book is the 4th in the cesarawitch for me.
