L'pool look far superior. Just funny watching them struggle. Are they going to tell us they are the best team in the world after this match? I think they might.......
Our record with signing South American players is chequered to say the least OROW....Delgado, Osvaldo, Carrillo, Ramirez the list goes on. Guly is possibly the only exception but at least he is also Brazilian.
Can't judge a player on other failures. It would be like saying that Mayuka means we shouldn't sign Mane or Djenepo. Personally, there are loads of good South American holding midfielders in the Premiership and someone will snap him up.
Well he was our most successful manager so makes sense... I do wonder where Poch will go next. I think Real at end of season, or if that doesn’t materialise, perhaps Bayern. If he goes to either, surely he cant fail to win something. As he did at Saints. And Spuds.
Given that the European Champions have been winning this tournament for the past decade or so, have budgets and turnover that are 10,or 20 times greater than their South American opponents, should we really laud Liverpool's expected triumph?
Nope and other than Poo, fans, i dont think anyone is lauding them. My wish for 3 broken metatarsals for Virgil, Firmino and Salah didn’t go as I’d hoped. Where Vardy when you need him. Next up formPool, as it happens...
Tis the season, that while spending time with our families we often think back to the ones who can't be there with us, god rest their souls. So, while we are feeling generous with our good nature, I ask you all to spare a thought for a club lingering in League One. No, not them lot, I haven't actually gone bonkers & soft! No, I'm talking Sunderland. Trapped in L1, but seemingly sinking further. Their last win (1-0) was against the practically already relegated -38 / 8pts Southend on November 2nd! Managed by the totally uninspiring Phil Parkinson, who now has the dubious honour of having their lowest win percentage of any manager in their entire history while being in the third tier of English football. 14%, and there's some right crap on that list like Coleman, Grayson & Wilkinson. And if all that's not bad enough, their ex manager is doing a rather good job over the divide at Newcastle. What a terribly painful Christmas this must be for some of them die hard mackems! We've actually got it pretty good, haven't we! Merry Christmas.
Well the Chinese experiment is over, they’ve introduced a £49k per week salary cap for foreign players. I bet there are a few kicking themselves they didn’t go there when they had the chance and earn a fortune. **** going there for less than 50k a week
The MLS aren’t actually that high paying I think. I don’t think there are many players there on more than 100k per week
Ah fair enough, maybe a few will regret not going then. You can still make more than enough if you move around a lot and blag lots of new contracts though.
