Quite agree. I will have known you for 50 years in just over a year and know how you apart from supporting Hull City have always promoted the City Of Hull. A friendship which came about purely through Hull City, as have others we both know, despite my perspective as a City fan not from Hull is different.
I think some on here are unaware of some of the things you have done, especially regarding fanzines or how many articles by you they have read.

Where would you put the information board?

The bit of the old ground is quite a long way from the KCOM, separated by a train track, hence the desire by some in the Trust to have a major draw over the South East corner, to try and gain peoples interest and get them to go over the bridge and take a look.

The railway line does run through it but the biggest expanse of terracing still remaining in on the KC side of the track, although very overgrown. My point always has been that the old Anlaby Road ground is of historic interest to the city of Hull and especially so to the football club. If the old cinema on Beverley Road can attract Heritage England grants because of the bomb damage from WW2 I do not see why this site cannot. Not that a lot of money is needed. The sapplings and nettles hiding it from public view could be cut back and an information board ( or two) placed near the walk way from Park Street and on the South Car Park because the site is only a decent goal kick away from there.
I know people jump up and down about this but why is the site of the old Boulevard ground recognised with a public seating area and information plaque when both Anlaby Road and Boothferry Park grounds are not ? Especially Boothferry Park because peoples ashes were scattered on there. I think it is important, others obviously think it is a petty argument.

I’m not sure that having the location actually on the old ground is important personally (and crosses ward boundaries too if you want to get councillors on board)
I’d locate it at the main entrance to the park off Anlaby Road personally do people could read on their way in.
I agree too large a scheme would be difficult, but an information board as suggested would be relatively easy and possible within ward budgets.
They’ve even put one at the roundabout near Hop Pole in Willerby to explain the Viking artwork there. That’s completed arranged by local councillors (including Christmas lights) so it’s doable I’d think.
Just needs a bit of political impetus which I’d be happy to assist with. Best to have one person locally in that area to be the face of discussions though

Surprised the HDM haven’t done an article on him being a famous fan and Gwillym doing a breathless interview,
In another paper there is a picture of him laid on some terracing with an FC scarf on swigging an enormous bottle of Coca Cola.

Shouldn't we have a thing whereby if anyone uses the line 'some on here', gets stoned to death?

****ing man up and talk directly to the person/people you're talking to, FFS.

To be honest Kemps I’m a little bit grumpy about people who are grumpy about lines people have used without quoting them so I can see who it is I should be grumpy about.
I want to be as grumpy with as many people as possible and you’re hiding it away...and I certainly can’t be arsed to go back and check who you’re referring to.
I’m not suggesting you should be stoned (or that you are stoned) but if you want me to be grumpy about them then talk directly to them FFS ;)
