I got a hamper from my sub-contractor. Would prefer a bottle of Gin if I’m honest. but I’m a QS after all.
Yeah my QS’s get all my gifts that come through the door, this year I’ve had cases of Beer, Magners, Gin, Wines, a hamper full of ****, and about 10 tubs of celebrations or miniature heroes. I keep the ones that don’t come through the door.
Got to take it a lot easier this year, probably only allowed one beer a day but if you are going to have one beer then have the best.. The best brown ale out of the North East, Sunderland's finest as was, now brewed independently in Durham.. Got the annual car valet too today, the car has to look good as well .. Donated the usual ton to the Salvation army, the only ones I do and I think are worth it... Big surgery to look forward to in the New Year, just hope I make it there, everyone will be looking forward to something that's different, life changing or just the norm. I used to love the smell of Vaux breweries, that waft off a new batch. Could smell the hops for miles.
Was home by 11.00 last night, worked out ok. A few from work had been out since two so were bladdered, couldn't be arsed to try and catch up. That's that, two weeks off. Pissing down outside so will make my boys a sausage and egg sarnie and walk the dog when the girls get back from swimming. It's Christmas time. There no need to be afraid and all that.
