People forget that there are two separate issues when we talk about offloading players. The transfer fee is to some extent irrelevant, as it will have been amortised when the player was bought. The important thing is removing his wages from the revenue stream.

 

Which is why it's far more important to get rid of Forster etc.

I found it difficult to understand why we bought Carrillo in the first place. He was IMO never a premier league player. Just shows how desperate we are. Sorry to say the board are no better than what he had back in the 60/70s. No imagination no ambition and above all no money!!
