Yep, nothing but SAFC related stuff. Although if SD did something off in his private life - say (hypothetically) that he joined the Klu Klux Klan, that would be related to the public image of SAFC so we should be free to comment about it.

I don't care how many women a bloke bangs before he is married but whilst he is married he should only be banging his wife. He can split up then divorce if things aren't working out but whilst with his wife he should be faithful to her. Now that is my own opinion, but things like that with club owners are generally outside of a fan's legitimate discussion, unless things become publicly messy and expensive - so impacting upon the financial viability of the ownership of the football club. Even then we shouldn't be attacking the owner for his personal life choices.

@Smug in Boots commented that it was scummy even mentioning that SD had a wife and two kids to support when @FulwellBri mentioned it in relation to SD's financial commitments and his ability to pay back the yank's loan. I disagree with Smug here because Bri was just mentioning SD's personal life financial commitments, but the individual comment doesn't make any derogatory remark about SD's personal life or his family.

I must admit that I don't know if Bri had done any such slagging off previously or in other threads, but we shouldn't have to go through someone's entire posting history just to be able to discuss a single comment they have made.

Finally I took a dislike to Smug saying it was alright for someone reasonably well off to waste their money in a legal suit against a person just to make that person afraid and ruin their Christmas - even when the suit was baseless in law. If I overstepped the mark by reporting the comment then I offer you an apology Smug.

By the way, I'm certainly not chuckling here! I might be being a bit thin skinned, but the personal attacks leveled at me on here certainly made me feel very uncomfortable. I would have expected it over on RTG, where cliques are the order of the day, but not on here.

You keep mentioning RTG while mirroring the worst bits of it and the reason many have stopped posting.

Amazing that you hardly ever post but seem to want to write essays on this.

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FOOTBALL FORUM!

This from the man who just two days ago said,

"... this time of year I truly believe there is a Christmas spirit.

It's a time when even the most logical, sensible and committed non-believer is shifted from their usually stoic position imo.

Despite what people might say I don't believe it's just another day for anyone.

Every year I marvel at how a real sense of community and compassion appears and how people are just a little nicer to those they come into contact with. It's a cumulative effect and we all behave how we'd probably like to all year round.!

Funny thing about mirrors is that they can only reflect what exists in the first place!

Yes, it exists on RTG as I've said.

You're replicating exactly what happens on there ....

... I'll come back when people start discussing football again.

Have I given you the impression that I would give a flying **** about what you thought?

All I am guilty of is to upset a massive Smug clique on here who do not see and / or do not care that he wanted to sue someone just to ruin their Christmas. I don't give a fcuk if he has friends in high places and can give snippits of information about a takeover that none of us could do a thing to affect anyway, that is just ****, an abuse of money and power just to get some vengeance over posts on a football forum!

Firstly the x is the greek letter Chi and has long been used within the christian church as a symbol of Christ - hence the Chi - Rho symbols on many christian artefacts.

Secondly this is not about football so why are you even posting - bloody hell, we can't even trust you to keep your word for 10 minutes!

The one thing guaranteed on here is that whenever you point out smug being clearly hypocritical, there'll be someone here to gloss over it by insulting the person who points it out.

In many ways the smug cult of personality that he wildly encourages with his not so subtle name-dropping and lifestyle/money posting is pretty nauseating. Saying you'd like to ruin someone's christmas because of a petty internet argument says a lot about you.

The use of Xmas is a very old and the fear that X was “crossing out Christ” were only introduced around the turn of the 20th century. Mostly it came about due to the distaste of increased commercialisation and its use in newspaper ads and on shop signs. So it began to be put about that the X was a crossing out of Christ, yet this has never been the case.

I was taught that the Chi-Rho symbol (X surperimposed with a P), which is found on many modern priestly vestments, stood for Christus Rex (Christ The King) and that the use of the chi symbol, X, goes back here at least to the saxon period when clerics would write X instead of Christ in order to speed up copying and make the best use of scarce and expensive parchment.
