That’s my point, Eric. I don’t care. It’s not my site. I don’t feel it’s down to a democratic vote to decide. If they banned me indefinitely tomorrow, I’d go elsewhere. If you thought my banning was unfair you could say so, and if you didn’t like the answer you could leave. It’s just my take... their site, they make the rules, if they want it to be successful they listen to their customers and try and act accordingly.
Morning Eire I respect both your opinion and feelings but I’d be in a no win situation. I’ve admitted less posts but more members (Glory posted an immense amount), if I dug through and said X amount of new members they could be ones who’d have joined either way. You said it was a load of bull people not posting because of Glory, respect for milkyboy for stepping into the firing line and showing you it wasn’t bull. Every now and again, Jammy pops up, he stirs the pot and vanishes for a while. He was one who “left” because of Glory being banned, I can only think of one other
No prob. Just asking. For the record though I don’t believe Glory is interested anyway. He hasn’t said that, just an educated guess on my part so we all move on
It's a fine balancing act. There were multiple complaints about Glory when he was here, and there are people missing him when he's not here. It sometimes became difficult to recognise the forum as a LUFC forum, and although many threads can go off topic, its still pretty much Leeds Utd dominated. The mods aren't going to please all of the people all of the time, but I do believe we please the majority of the people, the majority of the time.
You've absolutely hit the nail on its head. I've met up with Glory a few times, and he really is a great guy, but Milkys comments on soap opera, and barely any football talk are 100 percent correct.
It’s hardly my fault that the forum serves up the same reheated dish everyday. If it didn’t get a little stir now and again surely it would boil dry ?
It obviously has some attraction to you though as you keep popping back to sample the reheated dishes
I'm not going to get into it again and stoke the flames, but those posters who were on the end of them will know what I mean.
No fair enough, no need to rake over things, but don't you think that some of the posts that are put on the forum now are personal attacks?
you need to read the small print Eric: rule 33.27 - personal attacks are not allowed on the forum* * unless directed at a snowflake lefty libtard remoaning Marxist C**t
Well, that all makes sense now, thanks for the clarification. So a bit like Rule 7, as ammended by Napoleon.
Not that I've noticed Eric, a lot are said in jest and not meant, I think. Considering you were accused of having multiple accounts Eric, you should know.
Eric, I don't understand what you're trying to say. If you feel aggrieved about something, then please share. I'm no good at riddles. We are all the same here. There is no hierarchy. The mods are here to ensure the smooth running of the board, and if posters were unhappy with the mods then tell us your grievances.
Morning elland. My feelings are there is a lack of warmth and empathy on the forum these days. By which I mean if I call somone out for their football/match related views then the response usually involves some sort of offensive personal jibe/insult rather than the OP defending their opinion and debating the points raised. This repeats itself over time to such a point that those same personal jibes/insults become the stock answer to everything. It then becomes tiresome and irritaitng as some posters try to pidgeon hole you into a locked-in online persona that they, through their lack of debating skills, wish to enforce upon you. The forum used to be really fun place to come most evenings, quickly catch up on the days (many) posts and then join in some friendly discussion with posters who you felt were friends and not foes, sadly that feeling no longer exists on my part.
Jammy, believe it or not but we have 20,000+ views a week across all posts. Could we do with more posters - definitely!!!! What that means is that there are loads of people that like reading our comments. There's no right or wrong, just opinion. Some posters may have better skills about putting their opinions forward, others may be more passionate. Friends or foes, we are on here for one common interest. Thank goodness we do have different opinions - When things are going well, there is definately less to write about . Nobody needs to defend their opinion, ad I can't think of anyone that would be unable to. Is the board perfect - No. Mistakes are probably made, but the vast majority of the time, the majority of the posters are happy, and the board runs itself meaning mods don't need to get involved. We are posters, just like the rest of us.
