The good news is that although Leeds seven game winning run has come to an end, their unbeaten run now extends to 11, and the Whites have built a ten point gap between themselves and the teams in the play off zone, and a 12 point gap between themselves and Saturdays opponents Fulham. The bad news is, Leeds have not won a game in our Capital for almost two years, and with three of Leeds next four games coming against top six opposition, could they be facing a daunting Christmas. The Cottagers will see Saturdays game as the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways having slipped down to sixth in the Championship, after three consecutive defeats at the hands of Brentford, Preston and Bristol City, but with the Championships leading goal scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic recently bagging his 16th of the season, Leeds defence will have to be water tight. Liam Cooper faces a late fitness test, but unless he is 100% fit, Bielsa has already said he would not risk the skippers services. Jamie Shackleton is expected back early in the New Year Adam Forshaw has returned to light training, but having missed the last three months with a hip injury, the club will ease him in slowly. Tyler Roberts has responded well to treatment for his hamstring injury, but don't expect to see him play until the New Year. Will Bielsa stick to the same XI as last week? I think we all know the answer to that! What changes if any would you make, if you were the gaffer?
Genuinely haven’t a clue what’s likely to happen. Just know a defeat would put a bit of a downer on early part of Xmas hols
If we are to be promoted we have to win games like this. We blew Cardiff away in the first half hour with some great football. Same again on Saturday should give us a good start.
Fulham are the only team to average more possession than us and have a better passing accuracy too. In Mitrovic they have a really good striker who is apparently So this could pose somewhat of a challenge especially the aerial aspect of his game. 0-2 to Leeds, Fulham is in Hammersmith, so not London
First thing i would do is look to get two players in minimum. Roberts and forshaw are wage thief's. Shakleton is another heading down the same road. Forshaw will play no part over xmas maybe be back about march. If we do not recruit we will fall away. The season now gets tougher over xmas and new year.
I’d take a point right now, if we win it surely we’ll all believe this is our year? I was speaking to an Arsenal mate of mine yesterday, he said if Liverpool don’t win the title this year they never will again, same as Leeds if we don’t go up this year we never will. He didn’t mean it literally, he was just stating as an outsider how certain it is to everyone else. He was amused at how everyone believes it’s WBA and Leeds who are going to walk it but Leeds fans can’t see it...
Haven’t won in London for over two years, do they all go out on the piss the night before? As we saw last game, we can’t seem to mentally get over a ‘hoodoo’ so expecting the usual loss in the city and hoping other results minimise the damage.
We're not playing in "The City" so all should be fine I understand your point though, but why be miserable unless you have to be?
So does that mean that the 47 points we've managed to scrape together so far are all Bielsas fault as well, or are you just fishing?
Not me, and even if I was, which I'm not, I would be fishing in fresh water rather than the River Calder, does it even have fish? I bet Wakefield has really good fish and chip shops though, in fact they could be amongst the best in the world.
Interesting viewpoint from an outsider but few are aware of the minor details which could yet prove costly. Yes Liverpool are certs. Massive squad with ample cover for every position and a ball of cash and the pulling power to add to it in January if needed. We do not. Dress it up any way you like bit if we were ro lose white or Bamford for any numbers of games, we have bo replacements. We might well manage if we can build up a sufficient lead in the meantime. If we’re still ten ahead mid February then your mate can start feeling optimistic
I fell optimistic already and as far as Liverpool are concerned apparently they have no clue if Dick Van Dyke isn't playing
