Who do you think our back up penalty taker is or should be: I guess we have Connolly, Lallana and Guly to chose from.
Yes, very good chaps. If t'were only that easy..? Of course there's always: www.who'sthepenaltykingatsfc.com to finally find the answer to our problem.
That's not how percentages work, though. He didn't take 100 penalties, but he DID miss one. The ratio of missed penalties was 1 per 48, or in effect, 2 per 96 (slightly MORE than 2%) By your logic, if he'd taken 2 penalties and missed 1, and assuming the "whole equates to 100", he'd still have a 99% success rate! I do admire your positive stand on the matter, though
I think Beddy is using the same logic as Pompey tried during their darkest days. "So we owe £60 million ponds to our creditors. We have put in place a CVA which pays 20% of that as final settlement, or to put it another way, 20p in the pound. Yes ok, we owe HMRC 20p....."
Not all pens..... There was one rather nice one at Wembley in a cup final in 1979 when the only two survivors from 76, both scored. Thanks for the reminder about Peach.... Legend. Am I correct in recalling that he went for a shaggy perm once too? Anyone know where he went or what he does now?
Have seen the fat-dancing-fan that became our bit of the credits for MoTD/Premiership show, who Saints used to drag out at halftime for 'entertainment' save a penalty from le Tiss, so I'm gonna have to say Lambert! And if anyone fancies arranging the above into a choherent sentence for me, please feel free!
Didn't he buy a pub somewhere down the west country, and start a business with another Saint somewhere down that way?
Trouble is no one is wrong and no one is right........ Just one of the idiosyncrasies of mathematics........
Surely if he took two penalties and he missed one.....the percentage would have been 50%? It is after all all Pompey could deal in was ponds........ They didn't have any money! Now if you have two ponds and you take one away in my book you have 50% left IE 1 pond.........Brecons logic is that you would only have 1% left so therefore a puddle...... In Pompeys case he was right...... Oh just get in the queue like everyone else......
I would say lambert but never really sort much of le tiss, too young, beattie was good but ricky just feels me with confidence everytime he steps up, looks like he will hang on to free kicks this year aswell, fox's effort on sun was shocking
