Elliot looks decent, but needs to get rid of the man bun which makes him look a dickhead. Normal haircut and he will get less media attention and can just get on with building his career. 5-0 is incredibly harsh on the lads but that is also the harsh reality at this level. Small mistakes will get punished, and Villa were ruthless. Hope the lads learn from this and aren’t too disheartened. They gave a really good account of themselves. The build up play was excellent at times and we should have scored at least 1-2. Harvey Elliot was the obvious standout. This kid is special. And I really like Ki Jana Hoever - he is unbelievably composed on the ball.
The away end sang all through the night to support the kids. Also one of the best performances of the night
I know the FA deserve shedloads of abuse but they seem to get it even if it aint their fault as surely this is down to EFL , PL scheduling .
Ultimately, a more favourable draw and we could have progressed. If we’d drawn the likes of Colchester Utd or Oxford it could have been a possibility - not easy but a possibility. Unfortunately we seem to want to invest our money into the club rather than brown envelopes to progress in cups
Obviously for this cup....but the FA cup? City must be buying big this January as can be seen in the quality of their opponent in the Champions league.
they were just helping us out as Klopp had moaned about fixture congestion . Jurgen still hasn't forgiven the U23's for winning the LC QF & causing this problem in first place after all he did his best by taking off as many of the first teamers as he could .
