He's hurt, something with his ankle. Heard it was kind of serious but I'm not sure.

Pretty much ruined our chances of off loading him this summer.

 

They have lost players and not really replaced them. They got the the play offs the year before they got relagated aswell so that doesn't mean much.

That is true. Hence why I say it's not beyond them. They could do a Blackpool for example. Was this their first choice team? Didn't they have a few decent defenders like Joey O'Brien, Alex Bruce last season? Remember those two playing really well against Arsenal last season in the FA Cup.

 

Where does this "hatred","tradition","rivalry" etc between Leeds and you Mancs that the Yorkies banging on about come from?

 

Were the Leeds fans singing songs about Cantona and Best btw? It could easily of been the Man Utd fans but seemed a little louder than when i heard our fans who incidently were fantastic and almost as loud as Leeds at their very loudest.

 

I agree with the fan base Shwan but the stadium is a dive.

Sorry if I was offensive at first that wasn't my intent but the thing with Leeds is they can make money due to their loyal fan base etc but Ken Bates will simply take that money. As far as I'm aware they are now reporting profits but Bates still isn't putting money back into the team ( this is only my understanding from Leeds fans at work ) other Leeds fans on here obviously know more.

I think there is more chance of the likes of Leicester, West Ham and a few others with more chance of Leeds but each to their own mate

Just reading some of the comments put on here while I WAS AT THE MATCH! It's a joke that glory hunters on here dare comments about a couple of rows of empty seats, closed of because they couldn't get the turnstiles to work because of building work on the East Stand when they didn't even go to the match (unless they have a magic carpet to fly from & to the match).

Aren't embarrassed losing to a team with like £60 million pounds of transfer fees in the squad that played compared to a team that if lucky might have spent 1.5m on transfer fees since relegation from the Premier League and made their first profit 2 years ago and only due to the £8 million sale of Fabian Delph to Villa.

I think it's ironic their were chants of "We all hate Leeds scum" by some tw*ts who joked and made fun about two innocent men been stabbed to death in a foreign city and the fans that are supposed to be "scum" don't even retaliate, I think they need to think about who the real scum are.

You are dead right about Bates though Eric, that is exactly how it is and a lot of regular fans/members voted with their feet tonight, there were a heck of a lot of tickets left for general sale when it got to that allocation stage.

Just hope our lads learnt at least some basics from tonight i.e. work hard without the ball then do the simple stuff right with it, we didn`t do either and it doesn`t help that the average pace of our team borders the snail/sloth limit.

 

Liverpool fans still hold on to v Milan 2005 and many other clubs hold onto famous victories, like been a league one club and beating the current English champions then runners up 1-0 at their home.

Comparing one European top club coming back against another European top club to a 3rd tier club coming to the current English champions and beating them 1-0

Never said that, I said Man U were and are in a higher league and spend more than Leeds could ever imagine. Man U aren't a club, their a franchise with plastic passion/fans/players. Leeds are a club. Man U are the opposite of fans fighting modern football. I wouldn't swap the current Leeds as a club to become a franchise club like Man U if it meant Leeds would have the best players in football and win the Champions League every year. Man U fans are orite with it as long as they can brag to their cockney/american/asian mates about how many titles and cups they have won.
