Stop wondering how much you give a crap.... you give a lot of crap. It’s how we stupid fans are. All that’s happening is your getting more resigned each week to the outcome, but you still care. You still live for that glimmer of hope and that tiny feeling in your stomach that ignores the common sense and makes you grasp at some straws of hope. Then it kills you.
Maybe I should edit what I posted and just say that it's probably this team and corporate football in general I am starting to loose it with. There are so many underperforming and poor players in our squad and with them earning so much money every week, there doesn't seem much incentive for them to bust a gut. You would think that with the club in such turmoil they would follow the example set by Danny Ings, Shane Long and possibly McCarthy, and at least give it their best shot. Even if a player is not good enough he should have the decency to try to improve, at the very least. Many of them don't and I bloody despise some of them for not caring. Rant over.
I've been to Villa Park twice. This will be the third time. Previous two times: Villa 1-0 Saints way back in 2003 ( I think) Villa 0-1 Saints in 2012/13 So I can definitely say it will be 1-1 this time.
Stick with me Tom. I’ve been to Villa Park twice too: Aston Villa 2 - 4 Southampton Aston Villa 5 - 5 Nottingham Forest
Please don't get a last minute ticket. I mean that in the nicest way, but you are hardly a lucky mascot
Not to worry too much mate - think my next one will be Anfield which I'm pretty sure we'll lose anyway so I can't be blamed for that one!
Just bought a ticket for Palace away, to cheer myself up. Why did I think schlepping out to Croydon on a Tuesday night in January to watch Saints play, would cheer me up ffs? Also, whatever happened to “twenty’s plenty”? That didn’t last long did it?
Is that already on sale is it? I like Selhurst tbf. And 30 was the leagues compromise on twenty's plenty iirc.
Yeah, I like Selhurst, proper ground. Though the last time I went I couldn’t see one of the corners from my seat - I’ve gone a few rows further back this time.
I wouldn't go too far back... I got lucky and had pretty much perfect seats when I went, and we won from a Steven Davis goal.
