Whilst you are obviously correct adding more than 12 points to our tally is impossible, league position is all about relativity. If for instance we lost all our games, but then so did the other teams in the top 10, unlikely I know but try to keep up, then from a relativity perspective we would stay in the same league position. If we did win all our games and those around us faltered then we would take a relative step forward, compared to them and so achieve a league position above that which we could have achieved if all the teams had performed as well as Leeds. In effect we would have accumulated more than 12 points, this being a combination of the points we had gained and those that hopefully teams around us lose. Imagine Cardiff and Leeds are two cars driving down an infinitely long flat road. Leeds are travelling at 21.3 mph and Cardiff, whilst monetarily achieving the same speed as Leeds are still only doing an average speed of 14.5 mph. After 46 hours Leeds will have travelled 980 miles and Cardiff 670 miles So whilst monetarily they appear to be equally good cars over time Leeds are 210 miles ahead, which strangely enough is about the distance from Leeds to Cardiff.

Come on mate that's not really fair, I'm sure we've all met some really smart Welsh people. I know Dai from Sydney, Jones from Singapore, David from New York the list goes on and on. Now I've come to write it down like this there is one obvious thing that I hadn't noticed before.

Game over 1-5 to Leeds with Clarke, Alioski, Eddie, Eddie and Gotts

Clarke back to his best with a goal and 3 assists came theough 90 minutes along with Eddie who was battered a few times and Alioski. Competition for places hotting up

Actually, going on the live sky games I've watched of other teams, I agree with you. Just need our players to have that belief and there'd be no implosions <ok>

Well BFB that's what happens whenever anybody talks about Cardiff and football in the same sentence.

Morning guys. Don't often post in the evenings so am just catching up with this thread.

I can see some very interesting observations have been made. <doh>

Ah well, onward and upwards then - or in your case downwards. <ok>
