Good game of football, Wolves have had more of the ball but we’ve had the two best chances and thankfully taken one. Dier doing well defensively. Toby looking like a defender so far, Jan not having much luck against Traore. Sissoko and Son been poor.
Very disciplined shape but when you play on the counter every outball needs pretty much 100% accuracy. We've been miles off of that with Aurier's distribution particulary poor (although in fairness he's done well defensively). We also need to move it on much quicker. Couple of players (Dave, Dier, Lucas) require far too long on the ball to make a decision. Dier should've scored late on but given the fact we've been camped in our own half most of the game I'm delighted to be going in 1-0 up.
Wolves have been relentless without being a huge threat in the penalty area. but they have moved the ball very well. Dier has been very important to us and played his midfield role in our penalty area which is not ideal but he has been there. The trouble with ariel balls to our front players coupled with the speed of Wolves makes it difficult to have much control.
For the love of all that is holy stop with all this positive happy clappy stuff ffs. We are crap...aurier is crap...dier is as slow than rose... son and kane only play well at home...when we lose today it'll be 15 points we've given away from winning postitions this season.
And we were beating wolves 1 nil until the 70th minute almost exactly a year ago...and we lost 3-1...i was there...and am obviously over it
We have no belief away from home...no matter if we take the lead or equalise we just look like we expect to lose. No clean sheets away from home since new years day!
