Watched the Wolves mid week game and this team are set up to hit you on the break at every chance they get , the defence will earn its corn if we get a result today, having said that the same could be said for them . I'm going for a 2-1 to us but it will be a bumpy ride as usual

No surprises with the line up tbh although I can see this Wolves midfield giving Sissoko and Dier an absolute run-around. They have technically excellent midfielders and I fear that neither of ours have the positional discipline (and in Dier's case: fitness) to control that area of the pitch. Lucas will have to put in one hell of a shift so that Sissoko isn't constantly dragged wide to babysit Aurier. But Son will equally need to run his pants off or else Traore will skin Jan alive with his pace.

I can see us being very pinned back for large periods of the game, using Kane's ability to hold up the ball and Dele's link up play to hit them on the break. They do leak goals at a fair clip, the question is will we create enough chances to put 3 away as I can't see us conceding fewer than 2?

Rose is nowhere to be seen though which is lovely. No KWP either. Or Wanyama. That is a rather attacking bench, all things considered.

If Jose wants to set up for classic counter-attacking for on Wolves
specifically, no problems with that. For his apparent desired formation,
Dier + Sissoko is not sufficient to expect much other than the Man Utd result.

These are not old men Dier's fitness should be improving as Jose continues to select him. I expect Dier to get better with each game, he is surely the player we have that we need in midfield.

Traore's lightning but he don't have a football brain, so long as Jan's switched on he'll handle him, just like he did Sancho last season.

Yes, I realise I've now jinxed it.

Dier-Sissoko... Meh. Power but no technique, interesting battle vs Neves-Moutinho who are dripping with technique.

Front four need to be on it.

Hopefully Toby remembers how to defend.

I think you meant to say...

Of course, that decision has nothing to do with Davies and Ndombele being injured, nor Eriksen and Rose continuing to be complete and utter twats

Going exactly as most predicted. No hold up play in CM whatsoever. :(
