Genuine question, why the out right hostility to the idea? Is playing ****e football and occasionally winning much worse than playing ****e and not winning at all? Allardyce--Lump it football --Defensively sound --Strong, aggressive mentality --Likely to stay up Ralph--play from the back --Defensively weak -- Weak mentality --Likely to go down
I’m so depressed after watching that ****show & even worse reading all this crap. You are a tiny lil bit of light FLT. Thanks for that. I’m gonna finish my Guinness & sign off now hoping we can achieve.
Pierre has always shown his promise in patches here really. His best form has come under Ralph last season but he's been beyond awful this and it's really shown up how average the midfield is.
That’s plain daft. Play decent football, win a few at home, challenge & we will have 31ish. 90% full is ok for any club. Prices were frozen for me this year anyway.
so the manager got the best out of PEH last season, and deserved credit. many on here not ssaying you mate, say him playing that this season isn't his fault of can't blame ralph how does that make sense?Ralph Yep, bloody predictive text, and I haven't even been drinking
Oh i agree. Ralph last year was a revelation. But now, without Rohl, he’s f*cked. Bless him, I still like the guy. But he isn’t ruthless enough.
I've been very much used to coming away from matches in recent times feeling disappointed with PEH, but that was a whole other level from him. He was absolutely appalling. I don't consider myself as someone who makes knee-jerk comments, but if Ralph decided to strip him of the captaincy I wouldn't bat an eye line. He was beyond bad. Thanks to our horrific recruitment policy though, there just isn't anyone to take his place in the team.
I don’t agree there - we’re awful at sitting on a 1-0 lead, and he was trying to make it a 2-0 one. I think that was a gamble worth taking.
I really cant see that we will strengthen that much in Jan, we haven't in preceeding windows so why will we in this one. We are so short sighted it is so painful.
If he was sacked after Leicester, everyone would be calling this a turnaround and a new manager bounce. We haven’t been anything like the team that lost 9-0 since that game. You are leaving in dreamland if you think a new manger would have done better or will do much better.
Allardyce isn't just 'lump it' football though, it's far worse than that, kill the game dead and try and nick a set piece. Absolutely no attacking intent or playing to win a game away from home regardless of opposition. You only have to speak to a few fans of his ex clubs to know that his football sucks the life out of them, some fans here wanted Puel out despite finishing 8th and reaching a cup final cos of apparent dull football ffs! I know it won't mean as much to some but he also goes against the ethos of our club in my mind, in my time we've always been a family club who have liked watching good football and bringing the youngsters through. He's a dodgy **** who ****ed his dream job up for a bit of cash, the polar opposite to that imo and him rocking up here is genuinely one of my worst fears. All in all though, I just really can't stand the gravy slurping ****. #****offsamallardyce
If we were mid-table I’d agree. But we are in the cut-throat world of a relegation dogfight. And it is far more likely you will defend a lead for 20 minutes than increase it when you are a weak team playing away from home. Even worse considering we’d made the same mistake against Arsenal a week earlier. What other manager in the Prem would have done the same as Ralph? Not many. Probably none.
I’ve heard some stories about him from before the stuff involving cash when he was England manager. Just don’t want him. If you gave me an option of Sam guaranteeing safety or the likely hood of relegation, I’d take my chances and look foreword to Saturday, Tuesday football. Sad as that may seem.
