I’m happy today and I’m a labour supporter always have been.
Brexit I didn’t vote for it, but want it done because that’s what was voted and I believe in democracy.
    Don’t like Corbyn and Abbott.
So for me, we can hopefully get Brexit done and Corbyn leaves
So Friday 13th started off good on my days holiday.
Until I’ve just received a call from my wife to say her panoramic roof just blew, and she and daughter covered in glass.
Lucky it’s a Merc so they will rescue her

    Yep <ok>

We will no longer be shackled to the EU. We will be free to deal with the whole world! Good for us and good for those countries who will get to deal with us who have a very good economy. Not just a potential better future for us but also for others around the world.

    Ouch about the car!

Hopefully now Labour will get a really strong leader because parliament really needs a strong opposition. Boris vs Corbyn is more of a comedy show. A strong leader for Labour will force Boris to keep to his lies promises <ok>

People seen through Labours constant NHS scaremongering. Last election the said in their manifesto they would implement Brexit. They won votes on that promise. But they turned their backs on those voters - who didn't forget this in this election. Their dither & delay in parliament to stop Brexit was extremely frustrating and instead of people turning on the Tories because we hadn't left the EU yet, people are blaming the remainers in parliament. Their unrealistic spending plans in their new manifesto would put the UK into bankruptcy and will allow Scotland to leave the UK. Boris won't let Scotland leave, well not as quick as Corbyn would have done. Then add the high levels of anti semitism in their party, all combined has finally caught up on them. They have lost seats where no one thought was possible and in many many other seats, they have lost high levels of the majority votes. In the next election, there will be a lot of Labour seats now that could go either way as a result.

5 weeks ago, Lib Dem leader - Jo Swinson - publicly claimed she could win the election because she felt the majority of the public no longer want Brexit and will revoke it. How embarrassing she must feel today! Not only the Tories convincingly won to get Brexit done, proving Swinson wrong, she ended up losing her own seat <laugh> and her party made no gains in parliament. Clearly a party not seen as 'Democrats' after all! Also, there is now more female MP's than ever before in parliament and Swinson must be gutted that she isn't one of them. Bye Bye Swinson.

I am surprised though that the Greens didn't do well. I honestly thought they would make big grounds but gained no extra seats. I wonder if Extinction Rebellion had cheesed off a lot of people with their protests. I know they are nothing to do with the Greens but people may think they are one and the same.

To be honest myself and every other person I know who would've voted Green, instead voted for the party most likely to stop the Tories. I thought they'd be just as bad this time around, but I think they'd do very well if we actually had a fairer voting system.

I'm glad Conservatives won to be honest, both have been pissing around for 3 years wasting so much time, I got over the Brexit vote when it happened, didn't cry or moan, now we can hopefully move on.

Oh and three cheers for Corbyn going, thank goodness <laugh>

Unfortunately not as straight forward as that , now the difficult negotiations with the EU start , what we’ve had soo far is the easy bit.

Of course its not as straight forward as that. But it won't be as difficult as some would make out either. The EU will want a trade deal too. Now Boris has a majority ad could still leave next December on a no deal, the EU will now play ball instead of being awkward in hope of parliament change their minds and remain. This majority win would in MY opinion help secure a trade deal.

Well our coffee morning [ only 2 on coffee rest on tea ] will need something else to natter about now!

However they do wish to pass on their heart felt thanks to the likes of Wiz, Red Robin, Ashton Red, Capt Jack, Onefor, BCFCRW [glad you are fully recovered ]Bcfc Rob, [ has learned a lot about himself! ] Redordead and of course Jeremy, without him, his repeated antics of attempted character assassination, deliverer of "misinformation" supplied by his backroom puppeteers, and promising the world to every one of 40 odd million people who all had something to attract them to maybe give the odd vote. Without Jeremy a lot of this post would have been dull and boring. Hopefully we all learn something new every day, and the past 6 months has given us all a lot to learn.

Flagship of what has been proffered is...
When you miss read the will of the people it will always come back and bite you, best, the instant self destruct button! …" I will be your PM … I will cancel article 50 within hours of getting the keys to number 10 …. you risk everything, bye JO. The majority of UK citizens are democrats, faithful, and have no time be constantly tossed around and given little respect, they saw through the antics of the 17, manoeuvring to places where they were likely to gain personal gain......All 17 MPs who changed parties during the last Parliament, including Dominic Grieve, Chuka Umunna, Luciana Berger, Anna Soubry, and Sam Gymiah lost their seats.
JC, puppet of the unions will now be looking to the future to secure a new career best of luck to him, to all of the posters on here a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year and of course... come on you Redzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz , [ we are all supporters of City 423 years collectively ] the football ones of course … and that other mob! who play in blue or is it white? lol

our group did have a sweepstake on the result, we were all positive [ sort of ] in a majority of votes, and seats. The lowest figure of seats gained was 298 the highest 343 …. mine was 327 …
Greive Soubry Umchumma were only 3 of the 17 to get our unnaminous vote not to get a seat .. No one predicted Jo losing hers but thought Lib unDems might get 16 seats also thought Sin fein might get 3 or 4 more seats …!
ALL IN ALL from me JGF2 thanks for over 2200 posts has been educational in the least and I think we are still all "mates" with a common cause COME ON YOU REDZZZZZZZZZ

Really? I didn't realise that! Wow, that's brilliant news. Some of them I feel for, those who left Labour due to Anti Semitism, like Luciana Berger. But she joined ChangeUK and then jumped ship to the Lib Dems when she realised ChangeUK were crap.

If I was him, I would have a meeting with Farage and get him involved with the trade deals. I believe he would get us better deals than any Tory MP. Boris owes Farage a lot for this result.

Yeah, again, trying to be unbiased, I have no confidence whatsoever in any of the current Tory lot to get us any good trade deals. I'd have thought the same of Labour too.

I don't want to deal or have connections with Farage in anyway, the man is toxic and has stated he would sell or trade off our NHS sevices to the giant insurance companies thus making Corbyn's lies true.

Tell Farage to do one and stay clean.

Completely agree wiz. I just didn't want to add that in for fear of sounding like I disagreed with everything in the previous past <laugh>. I honestly don't know who I'd want negotiating trade deals no matter who won the election!
