Please can the politics thread be reopened. If people are throwing personal insults speak to them and then if needed ban them for a day. I don’t read it most of the time because I get sick of reading and hearing about politics. But this is a massive election and it’ll be nice if it can be discussed in the politics thread so that it doesn’t bubble over in here for those that don’t want to hear more about it.

To be perfectly honest there are not many politicians worth voting for, and most people probably feel they will be voting for the least worse option when they do vote. Political integrity seems to be a diminishing art these days.

Post after post targeting Corbyn and continuing to call him a terrorist sympathiser, a terrorist lackey and insulting Abbott came over as a wind up just for the sake of doing it. It isn't going to make any difference and it just made you look like a spiteful person.

If you are a decent guy as fatletiss said then I sincerely apologise to you for thinking otherwise.

In defence of those who fear for the future under a Tory government, people are very fearful and post stuff accordingly. The minority of it is about individuals, and the majority of it has been posted to highlight the lies and twisted facts that are being spewed out of the Conservative Party.

Again, please accept my apology if I got you wrong.

The politics thread has been open since 2014 and its been closed on the eve of the biggest day in politics.

It's a shame it has got personal on occasions, let's take this moment to act like adults and not politicians.

Right I am prepared to open the politics thread up if I’m given a few assurances that normal discussions can take place. I really don’t give **** whether you like Corbyn or Johnson or whoever. It is your right to express your opinions. Any name calling, or if I consider it bullying or derogatory remarks I will close the thread and it will be for good. This Forum has gone down hill because people have not liked the attitude of certain posters. They criticise them bully them and degrade them. That has been the general tone of the complaints. If you do not like the way this board is run then I suggest you do not come on it.
If I get the assurances I will open it for debate........over to you no arguments please ........
