they used to sell fabulous pork pies at the king and castle pub on the station at svr kidder, one of those with 2 pints of bathams and it was diddly dee diddly dum all the way back to bridgnorth where at the railwaymans arms on the station more bathams flowed, and back to kidder hic and same again. what beer is at the prince of wales perchance
The Prince has Tribute, Green King, a Mild (Hobsons?) and Salopian Golden Thread on as regular. Some want to move from Thread (5%) to Salopian Oracle (4%) in instead, which I'd agree with. Quality 'local' pub that welcomes all who drink in it sensibly. The Landlady's hubby also runs a bus to and from the Greenhous Meadow for £2, and has a load of old Shrewsbury Gay Meadow kit bought at auction at the closure of the old ground.
I thought this place would be packed. Just popped in to say well done today and glad to see it's going well in the league. The way things are going we won't be in the same league next year.
