Got to love the quote given "chance to revive his career". He's not figured in 2 games since being suspended and now he needs to revive his career. What a rag.

    Recommend

Nottingham Forest want to take QPR defender Clint Hill on loan.

Hill, 32, will be given a chance to revive his career at the City Ground.

He has not played for Rangers since being sent off on the opening day of the season against Bolton.

As long as we have an option to recall him at short notice this wouldn't be a bad thing. It's in The Mirror though so I'd question if any of QPR, Clint Hill or Nottingham Forest even exist.

I think if gabbidon is out then Hill might replace hall on the bench.

Got to remember NW loves Hilly and seeing his the only other LB at the club i can't see it. Saying that if he went on loan with a short recall notice is that a bad thing, match fitness and all that.

Yes, and we would love to bring in Messi, Ronaldo, John Terry (just to leave him out of the squad!) et al.

I would also like to earn £100,000 a week.

But it aint gonna happen. None of this is news.

The next thing you know the tabloids will be printing all the players' Christmas lists for Father Christmas.

Cant see Hill going. He's in our 25 man squad. There are others that need to be shipped out on loan well before Hill.

Really don't hope so as he is a very valuable player to have in our squad not only from his football ability but also from a personality point of view.
When players get sloppy on the training ground i am convinced he is one the first people to get a boot in and sharpens them up.

Besides these things IMHO he should be our first back up for Ferdinand/Gabbidon
Really rate his leadership skills and determination.

Nottingham Forest are set to sign Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill, BBC Radio Nottingham understands.

Forest fear they need cover following a knee injury to current left-back Chris Cohen, who was hurt in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat against Derby County.

Hill, who can play at full-back or centre-half, played 45 games as QPR won promotion to the top flight last term.

But the 32-year-old was sent off in the 4-0 defeat by Bolton on the opening day of the season and has not played since.

Cohen, who has played most of his career in midfield but has started the season at full-back, limped off during the loss against Forest's fierce rivals and it is feared he could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Hill started his career at Tranmere Rovers and represented Oldham Athletic and Stoke City before moving to London with Crystal Palace and then QPR in June 2010.

Does this make any sense, if he's in our 25, we're already 2 light.

Bizarre, unless we have a brilliant incoming lower league loan lines up. No, still bizarre.

More of a loss to the dressing room than the pitch. He certainly isn't premier league standard.

Clint Hill Emergency Loan Deal Confirmed

Nottingham Forest have today confirmed that QPR defender Clint Hill has joined the club on a 93 day emergency loan deal.

Hill was an ever present in the QPR side that won promotion to the Premiership last season, but has not played for the London club, since being sent off in the opening game of this season, following their 4-0 home defeat to Bolton.

The 32 year old is a tough tackling left back and can also play as a centre half. He will replace the injured Chris Cohen, who is now expected to be out for the remainder of the season, after picking up a cruciate knee ligament injury in the 2-1 defeat against Derby on Saturday.

As has been said before it may not be a problem if we have an instant recall. It may also give the guy some games which he won't get here at the moment as the team is going well. As soon as there is an injury or someone has a couple of awful games he could be called upon.

We don't play many reserve matches (which are meaningless anyway and just provide another opportunity to get injured) and we are already out of the League Cup which might have given a workout to those in the 25 who aren't playing at the moment.

Cheers Eamon, I can sleep easy now. Good point about recall - better to be playing, and having at least some of the wages being paid, if we can get him back in desparate circumstances....
