I use my phone for my calender, lists/reminders, texting and organising people, shopping, games, this place but no social media. Everything really. I don't like people so don't want to talk to them. At home I don't use it as much as I have enough time traveling to and from work to sort everything.

    Phones are great.

Complaining about phones because you can't talk about footy and tits?

Got to offer me a better conversation than that or I'm going to stare at my phone.

I always keep it with me as I often have open trades and if you don’t pay attention to the alerts you can get your financial bollocks handed to you on a plate.

Otherwise I often use it to post here while I’m having a coffee or a beer.

I agree comm, but my phone is usefull for me to read news and listen to podcasts at stupid o'clock in the morning due to insomnia.
I'd be ****ed without it, with nothing to do but listen to the voices while laid in bed

That's it, mate. It'll always be their fault, too, for not looking where they're going.

Each generation thinks they had it right and the kids today are a bunch of idiots.

Old sailor walked my way, sipped his pint and told me about his day. hey hey. he said "son times have changed and nothing ever seems to stay the same". hey hey. you've got your widescreen sets, your dead cert bets, wine, women, song and dance always practise safe sex. sinking colour fast food high percent booze porta bubble phones got your hair like Keith Moon.

In my day no-one sits through my turn ups,
In my day no-one stole from their neighbours,
In my day catch a film you've got some pay leff,
    In my day, hey, hey.

Old sailor walked away left me to think how much the days have changed, hey, hey. And I realised after a while he'd robbed me blind and slipped away, hey, hey. He'd nicked my twelve quid watch my left foot sock, flicked ash in the pocket of my stay pressed slacks. So the days haven't changed exactly the same. Take away the change same day same ways.

    Well that's nonsense.

I don't ever remember walking around the Metro Centre with my Mam banging into everybody who was walking around reading their newspapers.

I make loads of phone calls for work, every day so I couldn’t just get rid of my phone but compared to most folk I don’t use mine for much else. I think I’ve got about 7 apps that weren’t pre-installed on my phone. It’s good for banking and paying for stuff when I don’t need to go rummaging through my wallet for cards etc, but I don’t care much for Facebook/Twitter and I don’t even have Mingstagram.

It’s a phone, it rings I answer it. I ring people, they answer theirs.

Apart from that I’ll use mine to read emails or the net when on a train or sometimes sat as a passenger in the car, send the odd text, but that’s about it. It’s a phone.

I don't have any apps on my phone, I may use the camera now and again, but it's for phoning & texting people.

You always ring in the evening, no chance of me answering then. When you in Cardiff next?

Anyway you know I love you. :emoticon-0109-kiss:

Finally bit the bullet & got my first smartphone 3 weeks ago since some stuff i need now assumes you have one .Since i have neither got nor have i ever had a Facebook , Instagram , Twitter , whatsapp account my social media footprint is practically zero and will stay that way .
I hate with a passion people walking round paying no attention to anything but their phone with the strange notion that everyone else should take steps to avoid them and to me it is just a tool to use when necessary.
