Bloody hell I better keep off Facebook for a couple of days as Labour are flooding it with crap stories. Desperate last ditch tactics. I see they are trying to push this sick child picture. What they should have done was got rid of Mr unelectable, put in that smooth talking liar Starmar and it might have been closer.

It’s funny how the parents declined to be interviewed? I think there maybe foul play on both sides here. It’s just a shame that a sick child needs to be used as a political pawn. Labour are hoping for a Brown moment but that won’t happen. On the other hand if this ends up being true then the Tories need to sort out the NHS.
Nice, caring Tories.....not Tory candidate says disabled people should be paid less as ‘they don’t understand money’ A Tory candidate has been filmed telling a hustings event that people with learning disabilities should be paid less than minimum wage as ‘they don’t understand money’. Sally-Ann Hart, the Conservative candidate for Hastings and Rye, was met with jeers and boos by a horrified audience as she defended sharing an article that suggested paying disabled people less. She was asked by a member of the audience to defend sharing the article on her Facebook page. Ms Hart, who is also a councillor for Rother District Council, said: ‘They should be given the opportunity to work because it’s to do with the happiness they have about working.’ As the audience shouted ‘shameful’ and ‘they deserve a salary’, she responded: ‘Some people with learning disabilities, they don’t understand about money.’ During her response she repeated: ‘It’s about the happiness to work.’ Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/06/tory...s-dont-understand-money-11280594/?ito=cbshare Twitter: https://twitter.com/MetroUK | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MetroUK/
They'll not be getting any seats within 100 miles of where I live.....I'm poolside at the moment, and won'r be back to vote anyway
Would the Tories be so naive as to put the statement out verbatim in different names? I agree with Ellers, there seems to be skullduggery on both sides. Q is, do we find out the truth before or after Thursday? Meanwhile, there seems to be a growing storm over what John Ashworth said to a Tory member, about how useless Corbyn is, and a national security risk etc Don't like Ashworth, but feel a bit sorry for him, having a private conversation leaked in this way. Now Labour Central Office are running around like headless chickens trying to contain the damage
Hmm, pretty undiplomatic, she's not cut out to be a politician. This whole "them and us" thing must be avoided.
I wish I was with you (not in a gay way). I could do with some sun and sea. Funnily, there seems to be a few away when the results will be announced?
Sadly the campaign seems to be going like Brexit. Kids throwing toys out of pram. It goes down to those kids not being allowed to lose at school under a Blair Labour government. My Facebook is a nightmare. Bless I have quite a few Jezza supporters. I can’t wait until Friday.
The truth is there Goldie - read what the Yorkshire Evening Post journo said. The point about about the Tory 'fake news' campaign is that it muddies the waters sufficiently to limit the damage caused by Johnson's dreadful reaction. Moving the story onto whether it was a set up or not - even if it plainly wasn't - is better than having the whole focus on Johnson.
Whatever the truth, Boris was naive in the way he dealt with it when presented with the photo. I don't think he is a particularly empathetic character. I don't see him as the type to cuddle his kids when he sees them (if his ex-wife allows access). But if he gets Brexit done, I'll forgive him. The NHS is a money swallowing hole and always will be. I remember Blair getting a hell of an ear bashing from some woman whose husband suffered from cancer and couldn't get a hospital bed. I don't think this story about the little boy will harm Boris much. Everyone, including undecided voters, already know that's what he's like
Asa Bennett was actually at the conference and said he saw Boris looked at the phone away from the camera and was saddened at what he saw. He just said, like you, that he was naive in his immediate reaction. I also agree re NHS comments. It’s sad to see anyone waiting for a bed however we should not let one bad incident ruin all the great work they do. They were fab with my mum and 2 other family members. They were also fab when 2 of my mates were seriously injured. This picture is being used for political reasons. People know the NHS is having problems and this will backfire on Corbyn who is using this as today’s main point... funnily he has now dropped the 402 page Russian NHS report that he was banging on about last week.
I think that once a patient is in hospital, the service is good, it certainly is around here (Guildford Hospital) and Outpatients with appointments is also good. The problem is A&E, and if you look closer, the problem is that many people either don't want to go to their GP or can't get an appointment, so go straight to A&E, so it's no wonder there are huge queues at times. If doctor's provided a 24 hour emergency service as they used to, it would alleviate hospitals. But then, we need more doctors, and we need to train more. For me, austerity was a necessary evil after the country was almost bankrupt, but now money needs to be spent intelligently on the NHS
Agree, all Corbyn would do is throw money after money into a hole while killing the economy. We had that under the last Labour government and don’t need it again. The NHS is always going to be a problem. You will always be able to find a picture of someone without a bed or in a difficult circumstance but using it like Corbyn is now comes across as desperate.
This has got to be the 1st election where both parties could do with having a different leader, there both unelectable
Oh dear Jezza just done another U Turn. Just been asked about 4 day week in NHS and how it would reduce waiting times? And Jezza said.... Wait for it.... “It won’t apply to the NHS and it would happen over 10 years”. The reporter just said “he keeps chopping and changing his agenda”. Sorry Jezza but I heard what you said last week you liar.
