LFC fitness latest: Lovren, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Fabinho and Matip Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Dejan Lovren and Georginio Wijnaldum are fit to face Salzburg, while Adam Lallana is expected to return to full training on Thursday. Lovren was withdrawn in the first half of Saturday’s 3-0 win at Bournemouth, with Wijnaldum and Lallana missing that trip to the south coast due to minor knocks. Both Lovren and Wijnaldum have recovered, though, and were named in Liverpool’s 19-man travelling squad for Tuesday’s Champions League tie at Red Bull Arena. However, Lallana has remained on Merseyside with a view to being able to train with his teammates again ahead of the weekend meeting with Watford. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/fi...on-lovren-wijnaldum-lallana-fabinho-and-matip
Genuinely worried about this one as Salzburg will almost certainly score one if not more. Just hope we have our shooting boots on at the other end.
Dont think it will make a difference. They have nothing to lose tonight as they need to win, they will go all out. I can see this being a high scoring game
Whoever plays RCB needs not to commit too much and be disciplined. I can see Haaland bullying Lovren or Gomez. However, I remember we missed loads of chances in the first leg and should have been clear by even more. It is the game where Gomez was lost in CB and was responsible for two of their goals. The main question is who to play in midfield. I would go with Gini holding Hendo on the right with Keita on the left. It would allow us to switch to a 4231 with Keita in the 10 too if need be. That said, I fully expect Milner, Hendo and Wij to start.
I find myself in the unprecedented position of not actually being gutted if we don't progress. I want the PL this season, and nothing else comes close to mattering. On the other hand, if we get dumped into the Europey, we might be even worse off, so yeah - let's do this.
