To help preventing this happening. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...eover-by-qatari-sports-investments-1-10049360 Other reports say it is dependent on getting in the PL for a total takeover. Looking at the costs Leeds are going to be in a bit of bother if facing more seasons in the Championship. The owner wants £80 million, which doesn’t seem bad for a club with its own ground, training facilities and crowds over 30,000. Not compared to £50 million for a team with no ground and crowds under 10,000 even if it is the best run club in the Football League. The thought of Leeds in the PL with massive investment is enough to make you shudder. The infestation of Hull and East Yorkshire Whites would be horrendous.
It isn’t. A lots of ifs and buts. Don’t get promoted and it won’t go ahead. Leeds could soon have FFP worries too. One can only hope...All the more reason to beat them and stop them getting automatic promotion. “Leeds United are reportedly on the brink of securing a huge cash injection from mega-rich Qatari Sports Investment. QSI are believed to be closing in on a deal worth around £10million to secure a stake in the Whites - which would then allow them to complete the takeover if they are promoted to the Premier League this season. According to a report in the Daily Star, current Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani wants £80m to sell the club now, but that fee would hike to nearer £120million if they club are promoted.”
Actually it was lifted from today’s HDM, part of the Mirror Group, who were quoting the Star. Never mind. Better luck next time.
Be sweet if all leeds attention is on stopping Jarrod, then Keane Lewis Potter comes on and scores the winner.
Unfortunately it's inevitable that Leeds will one day return to the PL and be a major force once again with serious investment / money behind them. It's amazed me how long it's taking but it was always going to happen. The real shame is that we blew our multiple chances to be up there with them when it finally happens (which looks like being 2020).
Have no fear, if Leeds are promoted this season and we go up having won again at Wembley and Sheffield United stay up, we will once again claim the Yorskhires number 1 spot... Alphabetically at least,.,..
