You come out with some right twaddle.
Must be a decade or so since reid last managed and that was Plymouth and he was an unmitigated disaster.
Philipps has never managed and despite being on the dole for nearly a year no one seems interested in him even as a bib boy for a proper manager.
Stick to your hilarious 'parkinson is gone ' posts. They really add to your credibility

Why would a manager set up to defend? Have you thought about that? In most cases it's because they know that the opposition are better than their team. They hope to nick a win on the counter-attack. That is standard practice when one team is weaker than the other. We have no attacking threat, nothing that makes the ball stick up front. If they play a more open, attacking game, we'd be ripped to shreds. Jack Ross was getting it right.

I'd have gone for Nigel Clough when Ross was sacked and still would.

    "We have no attacking threat."

Sadly we do, but for whatever reason we're failing to threaten.

I don't want to trot out the stats but there's no actual reason we're failing to score, or even shoot ...

... we're just waving a white flag as we take the pitch.

If Parkinson isn't sacked we are in real danger of going down. 8 defeats in 12 is a disgrace and it's clear he cant get anything out of this group of players. Its pointless putting it off. He should be sacked before the Blackpool game in the hope that it gets a reaction out of the players, they've then got the best part of 2 weeks to find a fit and proper replacement.

Given the way things are I think it has to be someone that would give the place a lift, Phillips or Keane

    I've heard absolutely nothing mate.

I saw the rumours and asked people who might know but they've heard nothing.

Not saying it's fake, but if it's true, not many people know.

In a poll of over 3000 fans on Twitter only 6% of them voted to keep Parkinson on.

We're back where we were in the last days of JR(and just about every other manager we've sacked in the last 10yrs). I don't really want to shift PP but don't see how he can stay.

Think he'll get the Blackpool game and if he sets up with some belief and we get a decent performance from the players, he'll hang on. Really needs Gooch back to help him out. Oh for a couple of wide men like A Johnson and Summerbee with Quinn to aim at and KP to feed off!

Parkinson is scared of his opponents
The opponents should be scared of us
We have a good enough squad (although there still useless)
We have a better team and set up to worry other teams
Let’s not set our team up to worry about them
Get the team selected every game to win the game and make our opponents worry about us
Ok we can’t win every game but if we continue to be afraid of our opponents
    We will not wi any
Win loose or draw fight like hell thats all you can do with this squad
Hide and defend you might as well give up

TBH this is the first time I have jumped the gun and wanted a manager gone.... I was thinking he was on notice as it were already, but I then saw the starting 11 at just after 2.00pm on saturday and decided he was useless. As well as playing boot, boot, hoof football, his statement after the match confirmed to me he is not the man for the job.

I am seriously thinking about not attending on saturday if he is still in charge. Not because I will be 'missed' but rather, reckoning I will come home after the game more pizzed off than I was before, and why put myself through that turmoil.

There was a twitter post which stated "If Parkinson is still there on Saturday then the crowd will be booing from the first minute"

And then, the same poster said "The players deserve booing"

Well, if the players are following Parkinson's orders, why boo the players. To the same end, if it's the players who are to blame, why boo Parkinson?

And if it IS the players, then surely the next man in will have the same issues?

    Baffles me completely

Basically everyone involved with sunderland get behind the team
    And importantly the supporters
    100% effort nothing else
If this doesn’t happen (and it should be minimum)
The whole set up needs to be looked at again

Scary isn;t it! If you don't want to give 100% you shouldn't be here. I've watched players take the piss over the years at a higher level but we are so low. Where I sit, there's me, my dad one side (ultra negative), a lad the other side (ultra negative) and me, 2 in front and 2 to the left who I'd say are optimists like me. I though, in the Burton game, we slightly shaded the first half. My Dad thought they were streets ahead of us. Not just in front but streets. That's the negative people and their outlook. If we're slightly better in some eyes then we're miles worse in others!

All in all I am scared at where my football club is going

‘Let’s jeer a group of young lads who’s confidence is shot to hits already, that’ll do the trick’

He mentality of that man. I’m not saying they don’t deserve a telling, we don’t voice opinions, but we have to support our club and treat every matchday as a fresh page in a book.

It’s an emotive subject as to whether the supporters are part of the issue, let’s not answer that question and put a big tick in the column.

That’s why we have forums, that’s why we have after match drinks. To celebrate, to vent.

It was grim at the Burton game it was icy, we are at our lowest ebb but a Phoenix can’t rise if you clip it’s wings.
