can i just say and it's not often i do say something like this, but manquillo has been my motm for the past 2 games and tbh he's been outstanding since he replaced Yedlin last season after his silly red vs palace.. I think he's come good and adapted to this league and i really hope we keep him . he has been outstanding and never gets credit.
April 2024 now apparently - although he is awaiting a formal assessment by Chaos once he has get the slow-mo function working on his TV. If Chaos says next week then he will be up for the Burnley game, as long as its not too cold there.
Agreed having suggested 5-3-2 yesterday I think Joe out wide right, the AC unit up top and Miggy out left. At least that way the two wider players will be on their "natural side" and we can get some crosses in for Carroll. I did also think maybe if Yedlin is back put him infront of Manquillo and drop Joelinton for this one, move Miggy out left so we retain the pace on the break that will be missing with ASM out and will also provide Willems with greater cover.
I wouldnt bother changing anything other than playing joe in maxes position and carroll as the lone striker, but i lm pretty certain we will lose most games now. We are slowly becoming a long ball side from what ive seen ... the only time we dont go long is when max takes on about 6 players , so without that threat all we will be doing is puntung .. maybe we can pick up a couple of backs to the wall draws given we have dubravka
I'm hoping we can get Andy out there for the first 60 minutes. He's playing good stuff. I just really hope he stays healthy. Joelinton just reminds me of Riviere in every way. Would like to see Almiron play off of him with Shelvey, Hayden, and Matty in behind for a 3-5-2. This season is giving me memories of the 2012 season.
Disagree. Joe Linton reminds me of Jon Dahl Tomasson and how he was used by the club. Left us and went on to have a great career.
Wait till you get to my age - that's all they do. They are like the genital equivalent of Allan Saint-Maximin.
