Morning all, damp but now the sun is out, but not cold in rural France. Car to unpack as it was too late last night, and a trip to the baker and the post office is required. The fire brigade have been and sold me a calendar for next year. Blood donors and La Poste will be round with theirs next. Have a great day whatever you must do.
Good morning, Sir Dave. Good morning, all. Can’t talk football, the people running the show are idiots. Can’t talk politics, the people... etc.
Good day one and all. Wet and windy here today, so my gardening is on hold. The Christmas advertising has just started on French TV, but so far I have not seen anything that I cannot live without. Plenty of winter sports are on TV now, but all that snow makes you feel cold. Bring more logs in and stoke the fire seems to be the best bet. Enjoy your day whatever you have planned.
Morning all. Had an early start today as Mme had her six monthly MOT and chat to the doctor. She went to Manchester for a family party and due to heavy traffic missed her flight back from Liverpool to Limoges. Only option was to catch a different flight to Paris, then a trip by train to get to the mainline station. From there to Poitiers and a taxi home. Still had to get the car back from Limoges, so a friend took her husband to collect it while she was back in the surgery. What was only a weekend trip turned out to be very expensive, and she hopes there are no more visits over there for a few years at least. Hope that you have no mishaps during the day.
How pleasant not to see a Christmas advert until well into December, when I come to power I would ban anything to do with Christmas until Dec 1! As for snow, bring it on!
Sorry Scully, my bad writing. It was the doctor who had the travel problems. Here you listen to their problems if you have none of your own.
Really sad news again from New Zealand. For some reason it has been a country I would like to visit, but with the earthquakes and now a volcano going off I am not so sure. For those who have died, their pain is over, but for the injured and families of the deceased their pain is just starting. I feel for their pain.
Mrs Fez knows more than I but we do (she does) all of our overseas cards via them... local postage. Saves quite a few bob these days!
