So Leicester win again. No European football. I honestly see them running us close

 

Don't be daft. They're not getting near 100pts

 

Villa are poor. Relegation fodder.

Let’s see where they are just before and after Christmas when they play City then us within a few days. If they lose both of those matches it’s much ado about nothing. Win both and it’s game on.

 

Aston Villa 1: 4 Leicester. GAME OVER

 

Vardy is on fire too, remember how dangerous an in form player is, like suarez or salah when on form.

Add to that the experience of doing it before

 

What’s all the fuss about grealish? Have t been impressed with him

 

He looks good in a poor villa team. Hes not a bad player but not the superstar some make him out to be.

 

They're still not getting near 100pts. Nor did we with just Suarez or Salah, it's taken a bloody good team to get that good!

Our potential fixture pile up good see us fall short of 100pts but can't see us getting less than 90pts which I still think Leicester will struggle with.

 

Strange to think that Leicester are our biggest threat. They made today look easy, but I dont think they are capable over an entire season of sustaining the pace.

It will be close to 100 point again this season, at the minute I can only see one team achieving it.

 

Our biggest threats:

1. Atkinson
2. The rest of PGMOL
3. Our own complacency
4. Even more injuries
5. Leicester

 

I still think Man City are a bigger threat than Leicester. We know Man City could turn it around and go the rest of the season without losing. Leicester will drop points.

And im not intentionally disrespecting Leicester, I'd rather them be the best of everyone else.

 

Not being disrespectful but have you seen their fixtures
And put them side by side ours
If you wanted to pick an order theirs is pretty much it
They don’t meet spurs And utd till last two games of season
Neither of those will have anything rising on it by then and neither would be bothered about doing us a favour
Conversely we have
Newcastle away last game - potentially to relegate them and tough game anyway
And prior to that Chelsea
Who would love nothing better than ruining our party
Leicester are a serious serious threat imho
In fact without Europe I have them as slight favourites
We lose against Watford and we could end up playing Leicester at their place for too spot first game after CWC

 

Not quite that pessimistic, but it is crazy to write Leicester off

 

On the plus side, our U23’s will stand a good chance against Villa

They need VAR up there

 

Yeah, anti-VAR people need some perspective, no VAR mistake made this season will compare in damage to that blatant offside being allowed

 

where VAR concerned I am certain it the people using it and the existing rules
But that must suck if you are an ardent Rangers fan
They have been excellent
Celtic have had literally one shot

I think I read that a ref apologised to rangers for a decision other week which cost them a win - which tbh in Scotland is pretty much the title

I understand your natural pessimism may have carried you away here, but in no way can you consider Leicester favourites.

City are capable of going on a winning run from now till the end of the season, Leicester will drop points.

It's a funny thing but you can never underestimate the power of basic good luck to win the league.

You need a very strong side but a bit of luck needs to be on your side. Weve had it this season city havnt

 

Even if they win every game from now on City can only equal last season's total, and I don't see that happening at all.
They are always capable of an extended winning run to get themselves near the 90's, but their feeling of invincibility is screwed and they have to work to regain that.
We can only speculate with Leicester, we can't be sure that they won't be able to keep it up and we shouldn't be complacent.
The only thing we do know is that we are firmly in the driving seat, and if we can come through the next dozen games with a healthy lead it really is on.
I still hate the fact that we're committed to that bloody CWC, btw.
