Goals on Sunday spent time blowing smoke up liverpool and utd arses and only spoke about the first 3 of yesterday's goals but Warnock did say that if Sonnys run was against Citeh they would have brought him down on the half way line .

Yes they would, and if it was Fernandinho he probably wouldn't get a yellow card for it either!

Sadly, AFAIK the laws of the game would not allow for the ref
to have given a red if any of the players behind/before Son had
chopped him down when he got into the bunches of 3-4 players.

This is from my post Nov 2018 after that goal by Son against Chelsea:

I honestly think that it was the best goal I have seen at a match I have been to. It was sheer class imho
Goals like these ( Hutton as well on Sunday ) are beautiful to watch as they evolve.
There are not enough of them because opposition players are taught to stop the player by any means before he gets close to goal.
I heard pundits say that had that been Kante instead of Jorghino , he would have barged him into touch. A foul might have been given, no yellow and a piece of football beauty would not have happened.
Sadly , that is how football works today and we miss out. Fernandhino does it all the time. As do plenty of other players and teams and they are told to do it by the coach.
I'd like to see more cards given for the cynical foul that prevents the breakaway.

I agree with the sentiment but in practice a yellow card isn't much of a deterrent. The principle behind the laws ought to be that deliberate fouls should always lead to an immediate disadvantage for the offending team as that would make them pointless. It sounds absurd but why not make a penalty kick the punishment for a deliberate foul anywhere on the pitch?

Agreed, but even if the ref "accidentally" gives a yellow, like Fernandinho had last week (could be the week before) he didn't get a second yellow for a similarly cynical challenge (which luckily resulted in a goal, but there's no guarantee of that).

No, I mean the ones that usually win goal of the season. They’re great goals but any professional footballer can score them, the Son goal requires a special player to score it

Nah, it began in 2016, when the Chicago Cubs won the title for the first time in 108 years. Trump was elected one week later.

I was in Chicago that week and in NYC over that weekend. Chicago was a lot more of a happy place as you’d imagine, NYC seemed optimistic until the Orange Overlord spoiled the Clinton love-in.

Trying to work out who had the better assist. Jan for Sonny vs Burnley or Carroll for Bale vs West Ham. Two of the best assists we’ll ever see! Blessed.
