Let us be honest everywhere is ****ing depressing. The Tories have kicked the spark out of this country and its people over the last ten years. They just carried on where Thatcher left off. The final nail in the coffin awaits us this Thursday if the thick, the gullible, the bigoted, the mean spirited, the selfish, and the well and truly conned ignoramuses vote Tory. Remember to save the country vote tactically.

Don't let the Tories back in,

You can rely on us Sweaties to do our bit to keep those tory slime balls out.
As for food, it gets better the further north you go - deep fried mars bar anyone ?

Hastings isn't that bad. You have the arty St Leonard's bit, the **** bit in the middle, then the old town which is quite nice. Some nice pubs, cafe's and independents. Nice day trip from Twells!

Floddies are grated potato, chopped onion and bacon mixed together and then fried. Brilliant things and as unhealthy as hell.

Never seen Lardy Cake in a local bakers up there but Greggs are everywhere and they do them so they probably are available. I take it you are partial to Lardy Cake? A man of good taste.

Very good fish and chips mate, I can definitely recommend them.

I’ve never tried the Mars Bars though.

I didn’t know Greggs did Lardy Cake. Wish you hadn’t told me that, I’m doing my best to stay away.

    Floddies sound ace.

The grated spud in the Floddies, is it cooked first or grated raw?

Sounds Devine and could be on tomorrow’s menu.

The best way to do them is with part cooked potato, raw onion and part cooked bacon. Chuck everything in a bowl, sprinkle a small amount of plain flour, add an egg, mix it all together and make flat 'pancakes' about the size of crumpets, about 1/2" thick. Best fried in beef dripping until golden brown and crispy round the edges.

We could do a recipe thread. I'm sure Beddy would love that with all the off topic posts we could make <laugh>

Lardy cake used to be really fatty and greasy....delicious. Of course that was before fat was bad for you :) Rare to find them that delicious these days.

Would settle for a draw today, but a win would be as good as lardy cake (back on topic....don't think anyone noticed :bandit:).

I’d be happy with a point today boys .... and a slice of lardy cake would round the day off perfectly!

Anyone willing to start off a recipe thread - especially for Beddy? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Some people don't want to discuss their political views on a football forum. There is a politics thread for those that do. This is the match day thread.
