Horrendous wasn't it. We've got some quality attacking players even if they are a bit hot and cold and he ignored all of them to try and get a draw. Pathetic attitude every team in this league should be trying to win every game.

We just need to set the team up so the likes of McGeady don't have to track back but can basically goal hang and link up with the striker, him and Maguire aren't going to turn into grafters but we don't need them to if we use them right. Shocking team selection today, could easily have been 3 or 4 to them I think they hit the woodwork that many times and had a goal wrongly disallowed.

 

Have you seen proof that they had a goal disallowed wrongly and was ours correctly disallowed?

 

Not at all no I didn't bother with the videos I wasn't in the mood. Either way it's a fact they hit the woodwork several times and dominated the game.

He has shown thus far that he is little other than a pulis pupil. Mind at least pulis won a few.
He came in and talked about a high pressing game ( music to the ears of 21st century football fans ) but he means is kick it up the pitch where 2 players will hopefully PRESS the opposition defence into a mistake.
Other than o9 he had a team of half paced cloggers with an aversion to playing football due to bad habits of the previous and current manager.
People seriously believing that this manager will bring in players that will change things and fortunes needs help.
We have gone backwards. He hasnt improved any of the current players.
It would be folly to give this man any money at all given how bare the cupboard is. Good money after bad springs to mind.
IF THE MANAGER IS NO GOOD NEW PLAYERS WONT CHANGE THAT.
To play 5 across the back against a team that isnt expected to do other than survive in div 1 is a disgrace. 4 of those were in essence cb's. Leadbooter is at best a 15 minute off the bench player, not a starter.

Grigg is destined to be div 1's rodwell. Overpriced, overpaid and crap. Cant blame parky or ross for him mind. Come on down donald and hill!
I realise it is a bit of a cliche but for both safc and parkinson yesterday was a must win. PP can whinge all he likes about refereeing and VAR but fact remains that we should be wrapping these types of games up by half time.

Something, I have posted elsewhere, but I will also copy and paste to here lads;

Question people, around the role of the fourth official, for lower leagues. Remembering we don't have VAR. Yesterday Sunderland scored what seemed at the time a perfectly good goal, the referee seemed to have accepted, and the linesman at no point put up his flag.

However, the keeper subsequently claimed he was fouled. You can see the incident in the clip below.

So what changed, the ref and the linesman acceptance of the goal, that the Sunderland players and supporters were celebrating, well I will give you a media comment;

Steve Evans, in his post match interview, stated that the 4th Official immediately said " No goal - foul on the keeper " - when Sunderland thought they had scored.

Since when have fourth officials been ruling in lower league games, and is it allowed?

Its what we have to live with.

 

PP is now admitting that despite knowing the g'ham play long ball he doesnt really know how to counter it. Given long ball is the style he plays that doesnt bode well.
We really seem to be good at picking managerial duds and halfwits

Power is the only one I can think who would have got a start who was missing.
He had his first choice gk and defence.
He chose to put leadbooter in and leave watmore, macgeady and maguire on the bench.
Wyke was fit enough to be named although the derisory amount of goals coupled with his injury record suggests he's a massive waste of space anyway.
The man is failing and clutching at the flimsiest of straws to blame for this latest debacle. The refereeing/officiating has copped a serve. Then it was the style of football that the gills play that we couldnt cope with. Now he is crying poor about the squad. What an utterly pathetic waste of time he is proving to be.
He needs tramping and quick

 

Ye gods things must be atrocious if he is the answer.
He is where he is suited. A low rent manager at a low rent team in a low rent competition. He was way out of his league and should have been kicked out after the embarassing play off final he presided over.
One of the worst managers we have had and just because PP is proving equally woeful and inept should not exonerate or excuse the shocking eye bleeding football he regularly dished up or the pathetic state of the squad he left behind

 

Seem to remember you being convinced Stendel was the man for the job, he's just gone to Hearts who are joint bottom of the league. He must be really ****e hey.

Parkinson isn't equal to Ross at all his record with us is far worse.

 

Jack Ross done a very good job at Sunderland. We should build a statue of him and stick it next to Stokoe, tbh. He really steadied the club when we were in free fall, relegation after relegation.

 

Read about the disallowed goal yesterday, the Gill players said to the ref go to the linesman even though he kept his flag down, but dicided to change his mind, very convenient and fixed, this needs looking into as the ref has been 'bought'. and how many times where they bought, with a hell of a lot of dodgy throw in's etc.

 

Just read the thread for once. A Gillingham lad has come on and told us it was decided instantly by the 4th official to rule it out.
