I had a spell working in Middlesbrough, club Bongo International a must go, eye contact best avoided.
Yeah I'm not sure they have their own unique cuisine up north Though the place I'm in currently has a special of smoked rat served with a side of pan-fried pigeon foot...
Floddies, Parkin, Eccles Cakes, Panaculty, Patties, Chorley Cakes, Yorkshire Pudding, Cumberland Sausages, Bakewell Pudding, etc, etc. And yes, then there are the lasses .....
You must try the Yorkshire pudding wrap. Basically Sunday dinner in a massive Yorkshire pudding, with of course gravy.
Tomorrow will be a tough test to see if we have turned a bit of a corner or that we are just slightly better than Watford and Norwich who are both terrible. I think the matchup stylistically isn’t great for us, but think our little run might see us knick a draw
I go into the Boro about once a year, then remember why I don’t go more often. It is a template for the city of the living dead. So many hillbillys around you expect to here banjo music. I taught there for 20 years, so I take my share of the blame for the depressing state it’s in. It would have to climb up quite high to reach grim.
There have been some really odd results this week, especially away. So we might get something tomorrow. Nah, we don’t do odd results. Apart from the very odd 0-9.
I think there are equally some depressing places along the South Coast and in the South, places such as Hastings, Bognor, Andover, Aldershot, {the latter two being military towns which makes a place rather grim} And wasn't the dullest place in the UK in the East Midlands, Grantham? And despite it's location, I find parts of Brighton depressing.
