Pearson said at the time we can either cry about it or comeback stronger which we did from it. That year was Jamie Vardy’s first season as a professional and he struggled. Pearson and Shakey stopped Vardy retiring that summer as Vardy wanted to go and be a DJ in Ibiza

All our players loved Pearson and said he is a different person behind the scenes to what the camera sees. I think he is very misunderstood by the media. The McArthur incident was blown out of proportion. Pearson was joking and did a similar thing with Martyn Waghorn a few years early who mistaken took him out

A Leicester fan shouted abuse at Pearson non stop and Nigel responded the telling him to “**** off and die” which he refused to apologise for which is fair enough. Dont abuse people and cry if you get some back

    The ostrich thing was funny

Overall I rate him highly as a manager and he played a huge role in building our title winning squad. But he wont accept any of your owners interfering. He left us first time and quit Derby due to clashing with owners

You need to back him properly and he will do well for you but if your not prepared to change your model then I dont think this will go very well

If they go for him they obviously know his history. Maybe the Pozzos are ready to try a different way, who knows. The appointment would be fun though, we need to shake up some of our prima Donna's.

His first action on day one at the training ground should be to knock Holabas out, just to show he is the boss. :emoticon-0165-muscl <whistle>

    Nigel Pearson?

Did well at Leicester and doesn't take fools gladly .

Had quite a falling out at Derby though and a short fuse .

I know Pearson specialises in strangulation but a single punch would suffice, just to show he's the boss. :emoticon-0100-smile

I suppose so, we can't afford to have any more defenders injured at the mo. :emoticon-0100-smile

Thanks a lot Foxy. This could be a great appointment for us if the Pozzos are prepared to give him the right type of support. Stressing the word 'right' because if they try to pick the players for him and treat him like the ''yes sir'' journeymen we have become used to at the club then it may go tits up. We need a manager for the long term who can build a team, and add to it when necessary, not the scattergun approach we have been having.

You really do suffer from a sense of humour failure, can you have counselling?

Pearson could be the perfect manager for us next year if we cannot make up the lost ground this year

Pozzos must take a long term view in order to maintain the project

Have to agree with this one - Pearson would be ideal for the Championship...

NP will clear any bad apples out first thing

When Pearson came back to us Sven had just pissed £5M on Matt Mills ffs. Pearson gave him a chance but as soon he he let him down NP banished him to the reserves and out the door

He wont accept lazy players either no matter how much money they are on.

We have been crying out for a coach like this for ages. He could be the missing link to the Pozzo's fantastic period of involvement with WFC.

Have you got Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh aswell? Walsh found loads of gems for us

Vardy, Mahrez, Kante, Knockaert, Fuchs, Kramaric, Okazaki, Ndidi

And Shakspeare was regarded as the best coach in the country a few years ago

I think Shakeys on board, hopefully they can employ Walsh as well to recreate the dream team, Pearson does need time and some defensive reinforcements in January.

Shakespeare is No 2, too, I heard today. That is very good news.
