Transfer Rumours January 2020 transfer window

After Saints' amazing revival over the last week, little has been mentioned about the upcoming transfer window that will open on Wednesday 1st January and close at 11 pm GMT on Friday 31st January 2020.

Extra info from the Premier League:

1. New players signed on 1-2 January will not be eligible for Matchweek 21
2. Clubs completing deals late on Deadline Day, 31 January, will be able to submit a Deal Sheet between 21:00-23:00 pm
3. Final squad lists must be submitted by Wednesday 5th February 2020

I doubt we will see much business at St. Mary's (in or out) this window but who would be on your Christmas wish list?

I would loan a backup leftback. Even if he came back to training now Mcqueen isnt going to be fully fit until at least the end of the season having been out for over year.

The rest depends on who we can sell. i would accept an offer for any of our CB's except Bedders, then look at replacing. Cedric too. rest of the squad i think we need though unless i'm forgetting somebody.

Ruben Semedo please. Have seen him play vs Lewondowski and Harry Kane this season for Olympiakos and looks like the complete centre back. There will likely be lots of interest but hopefully all that murder trial stuff will keep the price down! (google it)

In an ideal world I'd also like a Wanyama type character (Victor himself wouldn't be a horrible loan with option to buy) to help add some steel and Mitrovic from Fulham whilst we are at it to add some quality and depth at centre forward.

 

We need a few defenders and maybe a defensive midfielder. Not sure who though.

I'm a self-confessed no nuffin' and I agree with you. Doubt we can afford or get anyone worthwhile....unless a jaded gem comes on the market (and that's unlikely). Our team has been under-performing...we'll be ok if they pick up the pace as they have done recently....and Danny doesn't get injured.
