Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has been warned as to his future conduct after media comments he made prior to the match against Sunderland on 20th August. Pardew was charged by the FA with improper conduct after comments regarding how Howard Webb would treat then Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton. He said: "In a gameplan, Joey would get a mention so the ref needs to make sure he referees from a completely neutral point of view." The Newcastle boss denied the charge and requested a personal hearing but the FA confirmed on Tuesday that the case had been found proven and Pardew has been warned as to his future conduct. The Magpies beat Sunderland 1-0 in the game which saw seven yellow cards, including a sending off for Black Cats full-back Phil Bardsley. Barton picked up a yellow card for dissent in the second half. Pardew's warning comes after the FA introduced new rules this year preventing managers from speaking about match officials before a fixture GOOD LUCK TONIGHT FOREST.
I must admit commo, saw the title and thought is it me,cest,BB,MrRAW,chunky, bobby, vegas, chapz, dorset, you, jersey, disco, IBWT,marcus,BCS...the list goes on and on..
a few contenders there, but sadly its just little old pardew.....although he never comes across as one.
Ha... I just don't see any point in this thread that's all. It's so unimportant it wasn't even posted on our board...
I'm pointing out and stressing your obsession is more important than Pardew getting just a warning (it's not even a fine or a ban!) for something ridiculous. But it's your board , so you decide Have a good evening , mackems.
maybe, just maybe, it was because we were mentioned in the article, as the comments were just prior to the derby....just a guess mind..
It had nothing to do with you , he was talking about the referee and about Barton It's not like this will have an influence on your season?
I'm glad he got a poke in the eye, personally. It's a pretty blatant attempt to make the ref think twice before taking any action against JB. Why he would do it when Barton seemed to have himself under control at last is interesting though. Trying to be a SAF? Whatever. Water under the bridge now...
