Good to see him bearing that in mind tbf. There was some rustiness today even in winning 5-2 so good to see that he's conscious on not overdoing the rotation.
I'm not sure, seeing lallana trot on into what I'd assume would be keita best position doesn't fill me with great Hope's for the future for him.
Agree, had high hopes for keita but seems like he is just another in a long list of players that I have over estimated
Thought Shaqs was immense tonight. Did he give the ball away once? Close control was world class - you can give the little ****er the ball with four players on him, and he still won't lose it. This is the player we bought - coming into form in the business end of the season. Or middle, if you know what I mean. And origi has become a seriously top player, though he always seems to enjoy playing against Everton. Thought Trent allowed himself to get wound up, but he is a Scouser born and bred, I suppose. Not sure if I'm as excited as the pundits with Lallana's performance, tbh. Hope we play Keita on Saturday, maybe in a diamond, and play Origi and Bobby up front. Give Mane a rest before Saltzburg, I think.
I dropped a bollock when I saw the starting line up but players really stood up to the challenge. Mane my MOTM - he was phenomenal. Origi and Shaq were fantastic. Really enjoyed Shaq - one of the few real technical players we have in the team, his ability to control the ball under pressure and retain possession. Also, I thought Hendo’s cameo was really good. Kept the ball well and should have got 2 assists. Glad we rested Salah, clearly doesn’t look right at the moment, ankle injury could still be hampering him and Bobby also needs a shot up his arse. Only downsides of the night but nothing major - I really do not want to keep seeing Lallana and Milner in midfield. We really miss Fabinho. Lovren did some good things but again in involved in the goals we concede. Get Fab and Matip back ASAP. It’s amazing that we made so many changes and still batter Everton. Levels of disrespect.
