BBC Gossip Column linked us with him today as his club Volos (Greek Superleague team) have been relegeated to the fourth tier due to match fixing. Sky then reported later that he's waiting on UEFA to allow him to leave the club now and find a new club. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11675_7190267,00.html Anyone even heard of him? Let alone seen him play?!?!? Plus, if he's any good why would he come here and be 3rd (or 4th while Gomes is still around) choice?
Never heard of him,but we will need a 3rd keeper when Gomes inevitably goes.Don't know if he's any good though.
Relegating them to the 4th tier is a proper punishment. When Juventus were relegated with a points deduction they went straigh backup and the only signifcant player they lost was Ibrahimovic. Oh and who?
I see he has been with us before. On 31 August 2009, Jakupovic was confirmed as part of the Lokomotiv Moscow squad, with Ivan Pelizzoli leaving on loan to join AlbinoLeffe.[1] Due to the number of foreigners in the Lokomotiv squad, Jakupovic was asked to go out on loan again. In December Jakupoivc went on trial at Tottehnam Hotspur [2] and had a successful week, however due to various reasons a deal could not be completed with Lokomotiv Moscow. After a turbulent time with the Lokomotiv management, Jakupoivc was allowed to be released I also think harry wanted to bring him here in 2009 to give Gomes more competition,so we must rate him. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...er-Eldin-Jakupovic-on-loan-article243121.html Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is set to land Switzerland World Cup keeper Eldin Jakupovic as competition for Heurelho Gomes. Jakupovic, a strapping 6ft 4in shot-stopper, has arrived at White Hart Lane for talks and training after a major fall-out with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow, who will let him go on loan with a view to a £1million deal. The 25-year-old wants to come to Spurs and fight for a place to boost his hopes to go to South Africa with the Swiss squad next summer. Jakupovic was born in Bosnia but fled the country during the wars and took up Swiss citizenship. He appeared for his new homeland in their first three qualifying matches but has dropped out of the team. Now Redknapp is set to sign Jakupovic in January and put him into his plans when the window opens. He does not need a work permit because of his dual nationality. Jakupovic has had a miserable time at club level after a dispute with Lokomotiv officials. He was loaned to Grasshoppers Zurich but is back with the Russians. However Lokomotiv now want to move him out permanently and are willing to put him in the Spurs shop window but with the likelihood that he will join full-time. Redknapp wants to find a keeper to put Gomes on his toes and replace injured Carlo Cudicini as he goes for the Champions League.
So if we sign him, that means we'd have had (off the top of my head): Four Croats One Serb (Bunjevcevic) One Slovene (Acimovic) One Bosnian Just need a Montenegran and a Macedonian, and we'll have completed the set!
He's mentioned moving and even mentioned possible destinations, but no talk of England, so this might just be speculation based on his trial for us. No idea if he's any good or not. Wouldn't he still need a work permit, despite his dual nationality, as neither Bosnia nor Switzerland are part of the EU?

Here's he is on YouTube
If we did sign him, though, what would that mean for: Alnwick Button Jansson Ranieri (Well, hopefully it means we offload Alnwick...)
Dunno i just like GKs.Although he is already tested at a reasonable level and at 26 he is a good age.
If Harry was always going to dump Gomes, then I don't understand why we didn't go for Shay Given. Wages, maybe?
In the case of Adebayor, it's beneficial to City - he can score winning goals against teams who can threaten City (i.e. MUPLC and Chelsea), but there isn't a chance of him doing that against them. Given, on the other hand, would have been a permanent transfer, and pose the possibility of City dropping points against us allowing other teams to close the gap on them.
