I've been booking my tickets for the 2020 Festival @ The 100 Club, 10 days of Punk Rock for £85 is a bargain by my reckoning.

I can't make every day but have gone for...

TV Smith & The Bored Teenagers on Fri 3rd Jan

    The Vibrators on Weds 8th

    The Boys on Sat 11th

That just leaves the question of who's closing on Sunday and whether to buy a ticket, just in casey?

25 years ago today, the most awe-inspiring piece of music ever composed was heard for the first time...

That takes me back. My older brother used to play it at/to me.

I wasn't a huge fan. Generally, I preferred their record sleeves which were fabulous.

    Top man for posting this.
The spooky thing is that I had an urge to upload "I Don't Mind" to a Facebook group I'm in today. Looked up Pete and noticed that it was 12 months to the day!

They're playing Butlins Bognor on Jan 10th and a few others next year, including

March 21 - Albert Hall Manchester

    March 22 - Roundhouse

Tickets are long since sold out (apart from Butlins). So, wait until May and go and see The Undertones instead...<laugh>

I really hope that Pete Shelly gets remembered in a similar fashion. He was such an important figure in the Manchester music scene. Buzzcocks must have their tribute acts? I know that 48 Thrills do at least 2 of theirs in every set.

Here's 48 Thrills doing their thing (brilliantly) to Train in Vain (from 1.21)...

I've finally managed to get my old Hi Fi system back up and running and unearthed the vinyl collection
Here goes.....what are your favourite live albums
Mine are no order just what mood I'm in
    Talking heads Stop Making Sense
Bill Withers Live at the Carnegie Hall
Van Morrison It's Too Late To Stop now
    Joni Mitchell Miles of aisles
    Nirvana MTV Unplugged
There must be more but that's all that comes to mind while I play Talking Heads

    End. :)

    Bias aside ...

    Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture.
Captured the Bowie sound (Mick Ronson etc) at its highest/rawest.
