For me it's his physicality that decides it, he'll beat players on the ground and in the air, Messi won't. Hard to think of any one better in the air than Ronaldo, you can't say that about Messi.
He’s infinitely better than Ole. Let me throw this back at you then, why wait til summer if that means we have to write off next season as well? And also do we keep Ole if he wins his last 5 games of the season? Darren Fletcher reckons the fans inside the stadium are all behind Ole and social media is just toxic, he’s wrong, Ole has legend status as a player and we’d never turn on him, but I don’t see much praise or support for his football.
Kenny got to two finals, won one, but didn't get a CL place we needed so was sacked without a bad word said: "Whilst I am obviously disappointed to be leaving, the matter has been handled by the owners and all concerned in an honourable, respectful and dignified way and reflects on the quality of the people involved and their continued desire to move the football club forward."
I'm sorry if that came over a bit disrespectful as I think he is a great player but there is not a lot of competition in that category at the moment.
Yeah, of course he's a better manager than Ole. Ole is an absolute amateur. Was never up to the job if we're honest. I just think that maybe Pocehtino would benefit from the break. If we have had a word in his ear to say he's a candidate in the summer, and it would be stupid of the club to have not done this, he can start getting his head round the idea and thinking about who stays/who goes/who he's after signing. If he goes into the job next week (which is when I think Ole will get the boot to be honest, assuming we don't beat both Spurs and City) then he could well walk into a dejected dressing room and he's on the back foot straight away. I think United should recruit potential candidates as of now. Sound out the likes of Simeone, who there's no way we'd get mid season. Allegri and Poch could both start tomorrow, totally agree, but not sure that's the best idea. I think Ole walks away from the job in decent credit anyway, he always had a free hit and just because it's gone tits up, I can't see the supporters turning on him as such. They just realise it's time for him to go and move on.
Good reasons, but I still think he could come in and improve us, maybe deal with getting Pogba out and a replacement in so that we are ready to hit the ground running, we all know Woodward won’t do anything in the first couple of months of any summer window. Ole is talking like he’s immune from the sack anyway so I think we are stuck with him until we flirt with relegation.
Tomorrow is a big game, if we lose (to the bloke we sacked ffs!!) then then I think it's inevitable he'll be gone soon. If City then beat us as well it would be curtains, surely.
