I'd normally agree, but our circumstances yesterday were truly exceptional. I've never known anything like it; players pulling out ill, even playing while ill, on top of our already decimated squad, then seeing Oz getting kicked off the park, was unbelievable. And to come as close as we did to getting something out of it was worth the applause.
Pratley is a true professional and a marvelous role model for the younger players Bitter and twisted as I used to be during the RD years, I was very sceptical of Pratley when we first signed him. But he has been excellent
Twas nice to be back at The Valley on Saturday. Like Royston, I was expecting a larger crowd, but perhaps folk are holding fire until the takeover is truly complete. I sat in the upper west and enjoyed chatting with a few old faces. As for the match, it was shocking to see the weakness of the line-up, let alone the subs' bench. LB really has been dealt a bad hand, yet I thought the players at his disposal gave their all and certainly played for the shirt. Roll on the next match. I should never have left it so long.
Good to see old timers like you coming back @Ponders Revisited . This is YOUR club. I hear that the Flying Monk from ITTV also ended his 4 year boycott last Saturday.
Not too sure about TFM. The last I heard he was running a sex shop in Shropshire. I'll email him, for sure. Perhaps he'll join this forum or make a return to ITTV...
TFM was by far the best poster on ITTV, although admittedly the bar is set fairly low. His takeover predictions were right up there with those of BB & JD.
