Now Duchatelet has gone, the vast majority of Charlton fans just want to be united again in their support for our great Club. Why do a handful of self-styled 'leaders' among our fan base wish to continue to attack each other? Because they enjoy it. Don't confuse their rutting behaviour for anything serious - like the necessary opposition to Duchatelet, who was a real threat to our Club. We are tired of bitterness, we just want good hearted banter and to enjoy our football again. UP THE ADDICKS!!
Surely there would be a conflict of interest if he continues to sell Voice of the Valley? Especially considering that the gross misconduct that he was sacked for involved leaking confidential information?
That was how Everitt started to run into problems last time, before he was sacked. Trying to run with the hare & the hounds. It was an open secret within the club that he wanted the CEO job.
It's amusing that something bad RE did in the mid 1980's is still of such critical importance, when all the good things Richard Murray was doing just a few years after that aren't apparently worthy of being remembered. I would tend to agree that it might be better if Rick was not employed by the Club again. I think it would be for the best it Richard Murray retired now as well. But these people have done good things as well as bad for our Club in the past. Are any of us so unblemished that we have a right to sit in judgment over them? Good luck to Rick and to VOTV. The fanzine is part of our history and I hope part of our future too.
Im washing my hair that night. You put your name down for the Trust Board and I’ll treat you to a new pair of strides.
You are of course forgetting that following his dismissal RE took CAFC to an Employment Tribunal and the Club settled on the steps as they would have been taken to the cleaners. The whole gross misconduct charge was a vendetta against several long term employees.
