Not sure about the Bertrand comment. I’ve seen him getting beyond the wide player quite a lot and that is what we need him to be doing. I think he just looks like a miserable g1t rather than not being interested.
Does it really matter??.................I don't think any of us doesn't know the handball rule........but as you know if it is not seen it ain't handball...surely even you will acknowledge that you too do not see every thing during a match. The lads are correct it wasn't handball because it was not seen as handball therefore it didn't happen did it? So what the hell difference does it make?
Blimey... and I get accused of picking fights???? Pretty damn clear that Tom is saying it was handball under the current laws. Lots of us do know the rule but choose to only use one eye when it suits.
Actually the handball rule in the case of attackers is perfectly clear. If it strikes the arm or hand a free kick is awarded. The goal should have been chalked off. We caught a massive break. Period. It wasn't given because it wasn't spotted by VAR at the time. It's really not difficult to understand.
I feel I'm getting vilified unfairly in this case. If it was the other way everyone would be bitching about Watford scoring an illegal goal.
I think the rule's ridiculous as it goes, as I've said since the beginning of the season. It is what it is though and the goal definitely shouldn't have stood as the rule stands.
Your still missing a valuable point.....it wasn't given..............Neither seen by VAR or by the official. Therefore it doesn't exist the score still stands 2-1 to Saints. Some thought there should have been a penalty.........it wasn't given or seen. No decision made! Didn't exist so no award......... In a few eyes yes we caught a massive break. Doesn't alter the score facts though does it?

Yep. Madness you can have different rules for the same thing for different people! It’s a bit like on here...
I'm not sure anyone has suggested otherwise really. People have just pointed out we were lucky n that var didn't do its job*. *Well that's my point anyway.
