No complaints from me. That result comes from an unbelievable injury list. At some point, players will start to return, and we can push on again. The sad thing was after yesterday, I imagine we were all joping to top the week with a win, but at least it sounds as if we will be keeping the management team, and jsnuary should be a bit more than simply scrabnling round the freebies and cast offs.

Three players on the bench who had never played senior football, plus two defenders; Albie Morgan played despite being ill. Oz played on despite his injury, conceding the penalty. I stayed to applaud this makeshift team at the end.
We are without arguably our four best players - Taylor, Williams, Cullen & Gallagher. It’s puts yesterday’s defeat into perspective.
Granted the fans were disappointed by the result, but I felt there should have been a bit more appreciation of the effort. Applause was generally very muted and brief. Quite a few began leaving when Wednesday's third goal went in. Again, I know that sort of thing tends to happen. But it was sad to see nonetheless. Thought our fans would stick it out to the end (which came only a minute or so later) bearing in mind the great news we had only a day earlier. Oh well, never mind. "We're f*cking rich, we're f*cking rich..."
For fans like me Lardi the bottom line is always the result, not the performance (which was poor). It doesn’t sit well with me whenever we lose, regardless of the circumstances. I got up and left when their 3rd goal went in. I never, ever clap us off when we lose. I’m not saying my viewpoint is the right one but there are lots who share it. For me it’s always about the team winning, or at least drawing.
Fair enough, if that's how you feel. I think the performance was as good as it could be, bearing in mind the team keeps getting chopped & changed around and youngsters are trying to do a man's job out there - especially against some of those gorillas in the way side yesterday. There were some misunderstandings, but it was lack of ability that was our undoing, not lack of commitment or desire. That weakened combination of squad players and kids just wasn't good enough on the day. Had that been a Cup game against Liverpool, I would have applauded our team off for trying their best even if we'd lost 0-8. That's an extreme example, but Sheffield Wednesday were still better than us in several ways, which is why they won. They didn't win because our players heads went down and they just threw in the towel, like we used to under Fraeye or Pardew. Our squad is wafer thin because of Duchatelet's tight-fistedness, and injuries have cruelly exposed this. But that isn't the fault of individual players (not even Naby Sarr). LB has done his best to coach them, and they can't reasonably be despised for not being better than the natural ability God gave them. I don't think fans can expect any better than the best they can give. We need better players. Either guys returning from injury or signings in January. Preferably both, now we presumably have common sense owners instead of a barmy old skinflint.
