Email From NUFC Re Nolan

As promised i have now received a reply from NUFC to my email concerning Nolan's appearance on LTV.

Dear Trevor,

Many thanks for your email regarding Kevin Nolan's interview for LiverpoolTV. Kevin made a personal decision to do the interview. I have spoken to Kevin about the interview and, as you will have seen reported in the papers subsequently, he feels that his comments were perhaps misinterpreted or taken out of context. Certainly I know he is sorry that some fans may have thought his comments inappropriate. However I can assure you that he has only the best interests of Newcastle United at heart.

As for the Club's position on personal interviews such as this, I hope you will accept that I would rather keep that private between club and player(s).

I very much appreciate your email and I can assure you that we take such views on board and they do help inform the decisions we make in our media relations activity.

I'm not having a dig either. I just thought that a response to this would be dealt with at a much later date considering the furore over the Carroll sale.

 

I'm as surprised as most people Overseas that i actually got a reply and a reply that did actually address my questions. Maybe just maybe they are beginning to open up a little.........maybe not!

I think it is great that you got a response, irrespective of the issue you were raising, she is the head of the Clubs PR and for her to personally respond to you shows that the club are listening to the fans!!!
