    **** me! Result change or void game! EPL into disrepute because this poster knows more than Oliver & the 4th, 5th? & VAR! I’m corrected & now totally confused as to what the EPL will do? Rematch or do we just forfeit? Personally, I’d go with the forfeit & maybe call it Tomsf&@ckingstupud law. Like you. It brings something else to the table.

    Only because one should have been a yellow card and the other not. But the incidents amounted to the same thing - 2 goals that both should not have stood. So in the eyes of the rules, they are similar.

    The new rule is awful. No way should a rule exist which rules out that goal, given that I believe it was wholly accidental from Djenepo (whereas Dacoure was as deliberate as anything).

    But the rule does exist, rubbish or not. So it shouldn't have been a goal. No ifs, buts or maybes.
