Extra time is a farce. I went to see Sunderland lose to Burton. At the end of the first half, there was 2 mins added instead of 5. In the second half 4 minutes were added, when it was more like 7 needed. It’s time for there to be an independent timekeeper using a visible display. Mind you more of that dross would have been torture.

Well you probably would have scored anyway and it wasn't good defending from us to let your lad run into the area in the first place! Shame as the ability is there from us but we just cannot finish when on top or defend well if under pressure. I remember last season we were totally outclassed and nicked a 1-1 at your place so maybe its just the way our season is going. A supposed stable Premier league team always seem to get relegated - and guess its us this season.

Parkinson is playing long ball, with a team of dwarves. Not working, losing the fans, half empty ground. My Sunderland mate told me never again to moan about poor quality football from Saints again. It was painful to watch once, never mind all season.

Always love be to read these threads after a second half fightback - must admit it has been about a year since the last one. Brave second half performance but WTF has happened to Redmond. He has gone from hopeless to unplayable and sublime back to very ordinary
Just seen highlights….nice free kick from JWP....and liked his cheeky kick with back to goal...worth it as very close and the kind of thing that catches teams out.
