Well, the game changed when Boufal and Long came on. Boufal was excellent, Shane actually gave us something in the channels and allowed Ings to be in the box. Djenepo flipped a switch the final twenty. What a second half. It’s a shame Shane can’t kick a ball properly but who gives a ****???!! 2-1 win!!!!
It was very close - McCarthy was rooted to the spot and he missed the far post by a foot. Should have scored.

I am absolutely delighted with that second half, but still mortified by the first. Why can't we set up rigt at the start of games? Why are Long amd Boufal not starters? Boufal was a joy to watch tonight.
The best part of VAR is the bit where VAR goes for a wander and doesn't consider whether the dangly bits from your shoulders are fair play.
Hopefully Boufal won't run into any more tables because he has to start on Wednesday. Such a good player on his day.

Wrote this HT. Decided not to post, didn’t want to be so neg. We are honestly awful at defending & pretty abject going forward. I don’t want to single out Redmond but he’s one of our only “star” players & so often he collects the ball & either looks to pass back or goes back with the ball. No major issue with that but when you release you have to move forward to open the play. He very rarely does. It hinders is so much that side. So many players doing ****e as well tho. Me thinks it’s time. Take your pick from - new manager / relegation. Might be both regardless. So sad. Not really sure we deserved to win but hey ho, certainly deserved a bit of luck. Did notice Redmond didn’t come out onto pitch at end?
Norwich game even more crucial now, must not lose the momentum. Saints being Saints, they will try their best to mess it up.
