Fatal stabbing at London Bridge confirmed as a terrorist act.

Perpetrator, who had a fake explosive device strapped to his body shot and killed by police.

Congratulations to the brave passers-by who tackled him...driven by a mixture of courage and anger I would think.

And kept him pinned despite the fake explosive vest which as far as they knew could have been remote detonated. Very brave.

Talking of amazing courage, I thought I would share this video from the West Midlands Hunt Saboteurs, which shows an illegally-hunted fox being literally dragged from the jaws of the foxhounds which were about to tear it apart. It beggars belief that there are so many Hunts still active, still catching and killing foxes completely illegally but with the full protection of the police.

I just joined the National Hunt Sabs with a view to helping out the Mendip Sabs. I’m probably not up to running after hounds any more, but I’ll help out with vehicle support or whatever.
It amazes me that every time a Hunt goes out, they take terriers in boxes on quad bikes. Now if all they’re doing is following trails (they never are), why would they need terriers?

That reads a little like, "If you think it is bad now, you should have experienced it in my day."

The truth is, is that now we are now understanding the effects of pollution on humans in ways that we had no idea before. It is nothing to boast upon what we used to experience before the Clean Air Act. Pollution has now "progressed" into areas that the ordinary population doesn't have an understanding, without reading into the subject. If you've heard of PM2.5, I suggest you look it up. In the days when the CAA was passed, the ordinary population wasn't made aware of the facts or the effects, because the effects weren't clearly known. They are now, and that doesn't include what side effects they may discover in the future. Would you like to live a longer life of higher quality? And your children too? And their children?

Knew it wouldn't be long before someone came out and spoke out against shoot to kill policy...not surprised it was Corbyn. I don't want the police shooting wildly like they do in America either...but I accept that instant decisions have to be made when the public or police are in danger and sometimes that may be the wrong decision in retrospect. The people to blame are the people who create these situations where life and death decisions have to be made....not the police who have seconds to react. In this case the explosives were fake...but better to kill one proven criminal than to risk the death of innocent people.

If you ask the police to risk their lives you have to train them to make difficult decisions and then back them up. It's ideal to take a man into custody if you can, but that's a decision for the men and women on the ground.

That was a fake Twitter account. Corbyn said no such thing. You have been fooled.

As sadly, many have been. I was told today that Corbyn is, and has always fundamentally been a Communist, and that he fakes his Socialism. I mean, for Pete's sake, when will people stop believing BS? When I enquired as to where this so-called fact came from, it was said to be sourced from conversation. Not a valid comment then?

How many times? People need to question sources to make sure these "facts" are reliable. Otherwise, we might as well all be watching Murdoch's Sky News.

Just seen a couple of videos of the attack today, the shooting was pretty mental in the footage, but impossible to judge the situation from the video.

Basically guy was lying on the floor screaming and the police shot him.

This is what Corbyn actually posted:

My heart goes out to the victims of this appalling attack.

We owe a deep debt of gratitude to our police and emergency services, and the brave members of the public who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others.

We must remain united across all our communities, and we cannot let our democratic process be derailed by acts of terror.

We are suspending campaigning in London tonight as a mark of respect for those who suffered in this attack. We will not be cowed by those who threaten us. We must and we will stand together to reject hatred and division.
