It looks as though we will go back to being run as a normal football club again, which is all you can ask, really. If it's true that Douchatelet got his asking price he owes a huge debt to Lee Bowyer for enabling this despite Roland's chaotic stewardship. Without him and his team we'd still be languishing in L1. Bowyer is a winner, and I believe good times are ahead. All he needs is a level playing field, and it looks like we'll get that now.
Do any.of you smell a Roland Rat? Why name the business after a market in Woolworth? Companies house check on them - only one person listed - lawyer from Manchester. Only set.up last week!!
It’s hard to believe that these new owners, given their rumoured wealth, are not going to want to have a go in terms of backing Bowyer. The chances of Lyle Taylor staying must have shot up. Ditto Bowyer.
Standard practice no? Every owner sets up a shell to own the football club & assets, I’m sure millwall are the same
Not to be mr negative but I can’t shake the feeling of QPR 5 or 6 years ago... I hope they really do back him and don’t use poor results before Jan to bring in their own man
That’s the risk. Hopefully they will appoint experienced football people to advise them, and not Richard Murray.
You're just dragging this out now to try and get in a last minute appearance at Witham Town reserves on saturday. Accept you've won and get down to the Valley - our reserves paly for the 1st team at the minute
On a footballing note, there are loads of bad owners out there - this guy is a new dawn, a clean sheet. He can make a real difference to our club after the nonsense and chaos of the recent past. Just by sealing Taylor and Bowyer, we could get a real love in feel at the Valley. There are lots of cases of daft owners besides RD (the QPR example is a good one without dragging up the like of Coventry, Blackpool and Duchatalet). But on a sunny morning in the states, there's is no reason to look for a downside. We have a new owner and a chance to dream bigger. This is a good day for all of us. Let's party
