<doh> Ok firstly Emery didnt buy or scout anyone. He's just the head coach.

Secondly I think our signings have been great (except Luiz)...
Pepe is quality he's just not producing.
    Kieran Tierney is quality.
Gabriel Martinez. 7 goals in 9 games for the 19 year old -Arsenal reportedly beat 25 clubs to his signature. He looks a TOP talent
William Saliba joining in the Summer looks an absolute class young defender.

The squad is clearly stronger we are just not getting anywhere under Unai.

That entire story appears to have been written solely because of one reporter asking Nuno if he'd be interested and Nuno saying he wouldn't answer as it's disrespectful to Unai. Desperately thin journalism there. So thin whoever wrote it hasn't even put their name to it.

nuno is an interesting one. My initial reaction was/is yes I’d take him...

but there is far more pressure at Arsenal than at wolves, and he would have one hell of a job turning this club around.

I think it’s a bit of a gamble, but not as much as someone like arteta.

what I would say is I feel like the bookies aren’t necessarily right. Don’t forget that emery was something like 30/1 odds when we got him.

Nuno is pretty much untested, and not willing to take another gamble on another mid-table manager. He is definitely not in the mould of Allegri and co... I really hope rumours linking him to the Arsenal are false. I would much rather take a punt on someone like Arteta than Nuno! The pressure to manage Arsenal, is much more than the pressure to manage Wolves, with all due respect!

    Well he's hardly untested.

Nuno has managed Porto twice, Valencia and Rio Ave. He's actually a fairly experienced manager - the question remains why he hasnt landed a job to any of the other elite Clubs.

I think he's decent but I doubt he's good enough to win the EPL. (even with a TOP squad)

Still I would probably take him over Emery at this point.

I have had a thought, the way fans have reacted towards players, managers and boardroom in recent years, would a top manager want to gamble their reputation with a stint at arsenal.

Oh and don't forget vital players not interested in new deals and heading for exits

If their idea of a 'gamble' includes making useless players captain, making us boring, predictable, slow, poor in attack, poor in defense then no, hopefully they don't take a gamble on us.

I really don't see how it can be so hard to find someone who can get a team with a 60k stadium, one of the highest transfer and wage budgets in the world and two of the best strikers in the world to play football that is pleasant to watch, hard to beat and challenging for top 4. Lampard is doing it at Chelsea with a transfer ban and playing youngsters most people hadn't heard of last year... Rodgers is doing it at Leicester... Poch turned Spurs from being mediocre to a team playing better and more effective football than us in just a couple of seasons.

    About time!

Emery seemed like a nice guy and I feel sorry for him that it didn’t work out but we’ve been terrible this season and he should have gone a while ago.

I hope we make a decent decision on who we bring in next...

Allegri WANTS the job according to SSN. He appears to be the front-runner now.

6 x League titles, 6 x Copa Italia 2 x Champions League finals during his time in Italy. He is however a little on the defensive side.

Allegri reportedly interested. Ancelotti would apparently be willing to leave Napoli and come to us. Benitez would definitely jump at the job. Arteta or Viera I’m sure would be interested. Nuno reportedly interested.

It’s not like we are short of people who would want the job. Just depends who we decide to go for...

    That's not a bad thing.

Although I've got a feeling Arsenal will go for somebody with PL experience
